Celebrate with DeLorean on Back to the Future Day
In the second movie "Back to the Future", Marty and his friends go to the future, and the day they arrived in that future was October 21, 2015.
In 2015, it was a day when movie fans showed a little excitement, saying, "That day is coming!", And this day is called Back to the Future Day (BTTF Day).
So yesterday is 2021 but October 21st. Oh. Isn't it BTTF Day?
Porsche released a video on this BTTF day. That's here. One minute long "The Porsche Taycan x Back to the Future" ↓
DeLorean will appear in Porsche's official video ~.
It runs alongside the Taycan. Of course, DeLorean goes beyond space-time, but ^^
This time, the keyword of the reason why Taycan celebrated BTTF Day (?) Is "1.21 gigawatt".
What this is is the number of power required for the DeLorean to travel in time in the BTTF movie.
You can see in the video below that it says "1.21 gigawatts are needed" ↓
And in Taycan, the total power available through the overseas Electrify America and European Ionity charging networks has reached 1.21 gigawatts.
That's what they have in common!
In the collaboration video of BTTF and Taycan created by Porsche this time, it is Mr. Goldie Wilson who became the mayor played by actor Donald Fullilove who is driving the Taycan.
As for the car number, DeLorean is "OUTATIME", while Taycan is "INTIME".
It's a playful video of Porsche, and it's really good.
Eh, and if you attach a flux capacitor to the Taycan and let all 1.21 gigawatts of power flow through it ... what will happen (laughs)?
