Porsche Japan announced that on May 7, 2025, "Porsche Street" in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture will be extended by an additional 680 meters.

Until now, Kisarazu City Road 125, which faces the entrance to the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo, was known as "Porsche Strasse," but now a 680-meter section of the Yoshinoda Kamimiyata City road in Sodegaura City, where PEC Tokyo is adjacent, has been newly expanded.
As a result, the 1,680m section of street from the intersection leading to the PEC Tokyo gate crossed the city border and became "Porsche Strasse."

Until now, there were seven road signs for Porsche Street along the 1km section of Kisarazu City Road 125 (I didn't realize there were so many!), but now a new sign has been installed at Shimomiyata intersection, the starting point of the street, on Wednesday April 30th, 2025.

The "Porsche Strasse", which was named on October 1, 2021, is the only public road in Japan with naming rights under the name of an imported car brand. I was surprised when I found out that it was named Porsche Street, and I remember being excited when I first saw the sign with the name of this road written on it.

By the way, this road sign is written in both Japanese and German, and the road number is designed in the shape of a Porsche crest.

Those who have been to PEC Tokyo may already be familiar with this sign, but if you are going to PEC Tokyo for the first time, be sure to find this sign on the road and be excited to see "Oh, Porsche Street!"

If you miss the signs while driving, there is an exhibition on the 2nd floor of PEC Tokyo, so you can still see them.
This is on the second floor of PEC Tokyo, where two new signs, 125 and 127, are now on display.

The naming rights contract for "Porsche Street" is valid until September 30, 2026, but I hope that the contract will be extended as long as PEC Tokyo exists and that this street will always be called Porsche Street.
