Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design Version
The foldable smartphone "Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design Version" equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor was announced in China.
Currently, it seems that pre-sales are still underway in China, but sales are scheduled to start in other markets in the second half of 2024.
This Honor Magic V2 RSR has a shape that includes a fly line that Porsche Design took inspiration from the hood of the Porsche 911.
The color is of course agate gray, which is one of Porsche's body colors. The rear camera housing uses a dark titanium frame.
The screen surface is equipped with the industry's first anti-scratch nanocrystal shield that improves scratch resistance, and the smartphone weighs only 235 grams.
Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of RAM, the screen is a 7.92-inch foldable OLED screen and a 6.43-inch external OLED display.
The camera is said to be equipped with a 50 million pixel main sensor, a 50 million pixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20 million pixel telephoto camera.
This Porsche Design smartphone in China costs 15,999 yuan (approximately 339,000 yen).
This is a video of the smartphone announcement that lasts 22:35. It is made with a focus on images of Porsche 911 (and smartphones). ↓
It's been emphasized that it's a Porsche design smartphone inspired by the 911, but I don't think it's that much of a "Oh, this is a 911!" feeling...? ? (sorry)
However, the simplicity of this Porsche Design is cool, so if a Porsche Design version comes out (for the smartphone model I use), I think I'll buy it ^^
