All Porsche model lines receive a score of 9.0 or higher
In Car and Driver's Editors' Choice Awards, all of Porsche's current model lines (911, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taycan) met stringent standards to receive the highest ranking.
According to Car and Driver's editor-in-chief, the Editors' Choice award recognizes performance and driver-centric enjoyment across the Porsche lineup.

This award is decided by the test team driving almost all new models of the manufacturer and conducting rigorous benchmark tests, so it is very pleasing that 12 Porsches have been awarded such an award.
Below are the categories and models in which Porsche won:
Luxury Sports Cars Division
Porsche 911 Carrera
Pros: Benchmark handling and speed. Wide range of models to suit almost any need. Even the base Carrera is very good.
Cons: Ever-rising prices. Digital gauges have lost their analog appeal. The Carrera T is now the only 911 with a manual transmission.
Bottom line: As it has for over 60 years, the 911 continues to adapt and remain the benchmark by which all other sports cars are compared.

Porsche 911 GT3: Porsche 911 GT3
Pros: Ferocious acceleration, race-car-like handling, and the captivating, sensual sound of the flat-six engine.
Cons: Firm ride. Eye-wateringly high price. Supercar-like price but not supercar-like looks.
Bottom line: The 911 GT3's illustrious racing history is brought to life by its dual-purpose nature for road and track, exceptional driving dynamics, and an engine that seems godsend.

Porsche 911 Turbo S: Porsche 911 Turbo S
Pros: Incredibly sharp acceleration. Near-perfect ride and handling balance. More practical than rival supercars.
Cons: The design may be too understated for some, the brakes can be a bit finicky, and the price is quite high for a 911.
Bottom line: The Turbo S continues to maintain its position near the top of the 911 pecking order with an unparalleled blend of performance and luxury.

Mid-size Two-Row Luxury SUVs category
Porsche Cayenne
Pros: Sports car-like handling, extremely powerful turbo V8 engine, spacious interior and ample cargo space.
Cons: No third-row seating option. Porsche pricing means every extra feature is an extra charge.
Bottom line: The Cayenne is the Porsche of midsize SUVs, combining exceptional performance with impressive value.

Hybrid Mid-size Luxury SUVs category
Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid: Cayenne E-Hybrid
Pros: Ferocious plug-in hybrid powertrain. Agile and sporty handling. Comfortable and high-quality interior.
Cons: The 8-speed automatic transmission can be a bit unrefined. The price is quite high when fully equipped.
Bottom line: The Cayenne E-Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid SUV, but it still exudes the exciting driving character Porsche is renowned for.

Compact Luxury SUVs category
Porsche Macan
Pros: Unmistakably Porsche styling. More practicality than the 911. Carefully crafted, agile chassis and excellent handling.
Cons: Option prices tend to balloon. The infotainment system is outdated and needs updating. The interior quality is lacking for the price.
Conclusiontheory: Despite its uncharacteristic Porsche body shape, the Macan certainly embodies Stuttgart-style sportiness in a modern package.

Electric Compact Luxury SUVs category
Porsche Macan Electric
Pros: Perfect chassis balance, very practical range, and the lively character of the gasoline Macan.
Cons: Significant price premium over the standard Macan, less luxurious interior than the gasoline model, outdated-looking infotainment system.
Conclusion: Not only is it practical and efficient, the Macan Electric also demonstrates that the transition to environmental friendliness doesn't mean sacrificing driving fun.

Compact Performance SUVs Division
Porsche Macan GTS: Macan GTS
Pros: Scalpel-precise steering. Sharp twin-turbo V6. Most fun possible in a compact SUV.
Cons: Lack of cargo space compared to rivals, limited rear headroom, no updates in four years.
Bottom line: With its impressive speed and sharp handling, the Macan sits at the pinnacle of compact crossover performance.

•Premium Sports Sedans Division
Porsche Panamera
Pros: Excellent, road-hugging handling. Surprisingly spacious interior. Always ready to go like a sports car.
Cons: Not the quietest luxury sedan. Typical of Porsches, the price can balloon with options.
Conclusion: While its silhouette looks family-friendly, its practical proportions reveal the essence of a high-performance sports car.

Panamera E-Hybrid: Panamera E-Hybrid
Pros: Powerful and satisfying acceleration. Flawless ride. Porsche-like precision handling.
Cons: The base interior lacks a certain luxury feel. There's a lot of road noise. Option prices tend to be unreasonably high.
Bottom line: The Panamera E-Hybrid strikes a fine balance between efficient family car and serious sports car.

Premium Sports Sedans Division
Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid: Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid/SE Hybrid
Pros: Autobahn-dominating speed, sports-car handling, and a massive trunk hidden behind a modest hatchback-like design.
Cons: Expensive, with new car prices starting in the $100,000s. Too many digital displays. Not a fuel-efficient hybrid.
Conclusion: The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is a dual-purpose plug-in hybrid super sedan that combines everyday usability with impressive performance at a high level.

Luxury Electric Cars Department
Porsche Taycan
Pros: Impeccable handling. Superb DC fast charging. Incredible acceleration that defies convention.
Cons: Shorter range than more powerful EV rivals, limited cargo space, and rising prices.
Bottom line: The Taycan is a Porsche through and through, offering the most agile handling, intense acceleration, and overwhelming driving satisfaction of any electric sedan, if not more.

Station Wagons Division
Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo
Pros: Explosive acceleration. Excellent handling. A rare station wagon in a market dominated by SUVs.
Cons: The Taycan Sedan is several thousand dollars cheaper and isn't significantly inferior in performance. I wish it had more basic controls, like physical switches.
Bottom line: The Taycan Cross Turismo is a rare beast, offering unpretentious, supercar-level EV performance in a wagon package that's every bit as lovable.
