New Cayenne Coupe Electric unveiled

Posted: Posted:

Three models of electric coupe SUV

The new Porsche Cayenne will be released on April 24, 2026:

  • Cayenne Coupe Electric
  • Cayenne S Coupe Electric
  • Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric

The product was announced, and pre-orders have now begun in Japan.

This coupe-style Cayenne EV will have its world premiere at the Beijing Motor Show (Auto China 2026) held in Beijing.

What is the new Cayenne Coupe Electric?

So, let's take a quick look at what was announced today:

  • The new Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric (hereinafter referred to as the Cayenne Coupe EV) combines a dignified presence with the iconic roofline of the 911, commonly known as the "flyline."
  • The coupe model has a different design from the A-pillar to the rear, and the front windshield is also designed specifically for the coupe.
  • The adaptive rear spoiler blends seamlessly with the body, and the rear window is flush-mounted with minimal seams, resulting in a clean and modern look.
  • The coupe shape with a sloping roofline contributes to reducing air resistance.
  • The drag coefficient (Cd) of the new model is 0.23 (SUV: 0.25).
  • This extends the Cayenne Coupe EV's driving range (WLTP combined) by up to 18 km compared to the SUV, bringing it to a maximum of 669 km (depending on the model).
  • The Porsche Active Aerodynamics System includes features such as movable cooling air flaps and an adaptive rear spoiler.

Sporty proportions and excellent everyday practicality.

  • The Cayenne Coupe EV, with a length of 4,985mm and a width of 1,980mm (excluding mirrors), has the same length and width as the SUV model.
  • However, the vehicle height is 1,650mm, which is 24mm lower than the SUV model.
  • While boasting sporty lines, it offers high practicality, with a luggage compartment capacity of 534 to 1,347 liters, and an additional 90 liters in the front luggage compartment.
  • The rear seats, which can be configured in a 2 or 2+1 layout, feature 2-way power adjustment.
  • For customers with high demands for vehicle robustness, an off-road package is also available for the coupe.

There were three models available at launch.

  • The Cayenne Coupe EV lineup includes the following three models:
    • Cayenne Coupe EVMaximum output 300kW (408PS), overboost output with launch control 325kW (442PS), 0-100km/h acceleration 4.8 seconds, top speed 230km/h
    • Cayenne S Coupe EVMaximum output 400kW (544PS), overboost output with launch control 490kW (666PS), 0-100km/h acceleration 3.8 seconds, top speed 250km/h
    • Cayenne Turbo Coupe EVMaximum output 630kW (857PS), overboost output with launch control 850kW (1,156PS), 0-100km/h acceleration 2.5 seconds, top speed 260km/h
  • The suspension system lineup is the same as for the SUV models.
  • The coupe comes standard with adaptive air suspension featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
  • The Cayenne S Coupe EV and Cayenne Turbo Coupe EV are available with the optional Porsche ActiveRide active suspension system.
  • All Cayenne Coupe EV models in Japan come standard with rear-axle steering with a maximum steering angle of 5 degrees.
  • Thanks to 800-volt technology, the Cayenne Coupe EV can be charged at up to 390kW with a suitable DC fast charger, and up to 400kW under certain conditions.
  • AC charging is supported up to 11kW with the standard onboard charger.
  • A charger with a maximum output of 22kW is available as an option.

Enhanced standard equipment and optional lightweight sports package

  • The Cayenne Coupe EV adopts the same Porsche driver experience as the SUV model, offering a digital and driver-focused control concept.
  • Its features include a spacious display area that includes a fully digital instrument panel, a center flow display, a passenger-side display, and an optional AR head-up display.
  • Digital and analog controls complement each other and are optimized based on ergonomics, resulting in exceptional operability.
  • Porsche Digital Interaction emphasizes personalized customization and intuitive operation for each user.
  • Personalized widgets and display themes, along with integration with third-party apps, deliver a user experience that is both connected and individually configurable.
  • With its panoramic glass roof (with optional variable light control and electrically operated LCD film) and Sport Chrono Package, the Cayenne Coupe EV's standard equipment is even more comprehensive than that of the SUV.
  • A lightweight sports package is also available as an option for the coupe, achieving a weight reduction of up to 17.6 kg depending on the model.
  • This package includes:
    • Lightweight carbon roof
    • Sporty carbon inserts
    • Package-exclusive 22-inch wheels and high-performance tires
  • The interior is packed with sporty elements, including seat center panels with classic Pepita pattern fabric trim, a Race-Tex headliner, and open-pore carbon fiber surfaces.
  • Optionally, a lightweight sports package can be combined with black leather seats and a 2+1 rear seat system.

*The vehicle size and range figures mentioned here are for the European specification and may differ from the Japanese specification. Therefore, those considering a purchase should always check the Japanese Porsche website or contact a dealer.
