Early sketches for the Carrera GT
A documentary film called "The Intern" was released at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a while ago, in which actor Adrien Brody talks about his experience working behind the scenes at Porsche as an intern.

There's a scene in the documentary where Brody, the star of the film, talks with Porsche's special projects director, Grant Larson, and one scene from that film became a hot topic.
This is apparently an archive sketch of the Carrera GT.

Brody showed us some early sketches of the Carrera GT, including one featuring a model equipped with a hardtop and turbofan wheels, whose shape is thought to be based on the 911 GT1.
The rear diffuser and other features are different from those on the current Carrera GT.
In the early stages of the Carrera GT's development (around 1999), before it was turned into a roadster, Grant Larson had "submitted several sketches of a circuit-oriented mid-engine V10 supercar."
That's why sketches of this hardtop Carrera GT have been preserved.
The Carrera GT was then unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2000, first as a concept car, but why did they start with sketches of a hardtop and then abandon that in the end?
It's interesting to think that the current form of each model was created after exploring various possibilities in the concept, idea generation, and development stages.
