This is about the Porsches that were on display or participated in the hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed held in the UK in July 2026.I wrote about it in my previous blog post.However, this time I'd like to write about the manufacturers who showcased the central feature display at that event.
The company selected was Singer Vehicle Design.
Many of you have probably seen the giant sculpture "Central Feature" that appears every year in front of Goodwood House, the venue for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This time, the sculptures on display consist of three models by Singer Vehicle Design, created by Gerry Judah.
The three cars suspended from the triple arch structure are the Classic, Classic Turbo, and DLS.
Apparently, eight other cars were also on display at this event.
Singer's booth in the stable yard featured five cars on display (including the first-ever public display of a slant-nose Singer, as well as a Classic, DLS, Classic DLS, and DLS Turbo), while the remaining three were displayed in the Supercar Paddock, presented by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and reportedly ran several hill climbs throughout the weekend.
Singer Vehicle Design was first invited to Goodwood in 2015, and this year marks their 11th appearance.

"The singer grew up in Goodwood; Goodwood is like a second home to us and has been an important venue for our performances over the years."
He said that he was thanked by the Duke of Richmond, the founder of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Singer's mission is said to be "to reimagine what Porsche would have been like if the Porsche engineers who created the 911 had access to 21st-century technology."
And that's how the numerous "Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer" creations were made.
Singer-founder Rob apparently participated in the first Festival of Speed in 1993 during a break in his band's tour.
Of course, this was long before Singer was founded, so I think he participated as a "visitor" rather than an exhibitor, but he recalls, "I never imagined that after all the twists and turns in my life, the small design company I founded would be invited in 2015."
Back in 1993, and even when Singer was founded, they probably never dreamed that Singer Vehicle Design would be selected as the central feature of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2026.
...Having said that he was "surprised and humbled by being chosen this time, but at the same time, strangely, he feels it's fitting."
Perhaps somewhere deep down, they had a sense of inevitability, a feeling that they would one day be selected as a Central Feature.
