Porsche releases interior and additional information of fully electric car, EV Macan

Equipped with new infotainment system

The fully electric Macan, a fully electric car, is scheduled to debut in 2024.

Several spy shots of the EV Macan have been seen so far, but this time Porsche itself has released the interior of the EV Macan.

At the same time, some detailed information about the powertrain was provided, and the media was also given a high-speed driving experience using a prototype, so I would like to take a look at the details.

The content is based on what was published by overseas media in response to the content announced by Porsche:

• The digital instrument cluster in the driver's seat is 12.6 inches.
• Round engine start button on the left side of the instrument cluster

• The center of the dashboard features a new 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Android.
• The software starts as soon as it detects the driver approaches the car with the keys, so it's ready by the time you buckle your seatbelt.
• Compatible with third parties such as Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, etc.
• These apps can be downloaded just like smartphones.
• You can also stream video with these apps on the optional 10.9-inch touchscreen mounted on the passenger side dashboard.
• The passenger seat screen cannot be seen from the driver's seat.

The 992 (MY21) PCM takes a long time to start up which can be a problem, so it would be great if it would start up by the time I put on my seatbelt.

The interior that was released also shows the time as "9:11", and the passenger seat screen shows Porsche videos of the Dakar, Sports Classic, and 911SC, which is really nice ^^↓

By the way, according to Miriam Mohamad, manager of infotainment and connectivity for the Macan series at Porsche, more than 85% owners of Porsche are Apple users.

• EV Macan will be the first Porsche model to feature an augmented reality head-up display
• This uses interactive color-coded symbols, such as arrows, to provide navigation directions and other information.

• The EV Macan uses Premium Platform Electric Architecture (PPE) developed jointly with Audi

• Porsche has not yet announced technical specifications for the EV Macan.

For a while, the ICE Macan will also be sold even after the EV Macan is released, so if you still want to buy the ICE Macan, don't worry ^^
