September 11, 2026.
This is the 9th 9/11 day since I started this blog.
It's amazing. Nine years ago, September 11th was the day that immediately reminded me of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but now the first thing that comes to mind is the "Porsche 911."
I think It was around the beginning of this year that I happened to look at a bottle of condiment that was about to run out at home, and I was delighted to notice that its expiration date was 9/11...

A little while ago, when I went to Costco, I picked up an item that a friend had asked me to buy, and just to be sure, I checked the back of the package to make sure it was the right one...

I was touched to see that the expiration date was 9/11 (lol)...

As September 11th finally approaches, I'm moved when I see the milk bottles lined up in the supermarket with "9/11" written on them (and I do check those every year, lol)...

For the past few days, I've been having fun by myself checking the expiration date of my natto (fermented soybeans), which is usually around the same time as the expiration date of my milk on September 11th, so I make a point of going to check that as well.
I really enjoy seeing all sorts of products on the shelves with their expiration dates set to 9.11 as September 11th approaches.
It's as if everyone (every product) is looking at me and saying, "It's 9/11!" (Stupid thinking).

And finally, here is the parking ticket number from when I went to Nihonbashi Takashimaya...

It was a miraculous number started from 911!

Oh, I'm really sorry for rambling on about such trivial things (lol).
But I wanted to preserve each and every joy I felt when I encountered 9/11... ^^
Just one more thing.
The other day, I suddenly needed to buy a few things, so I went to the supermarket and bought just four items. I didn't think about the total cost at all; I just put the things I needed into my basket, but guess what?
I was surprised when it came time to pay.
The total price for the four items plus sales tax (8%) came to "997"!
As a family of five with high consumption, it's almost unheard of for me to spend less than 1,000 yen when I go grocery shopping.
But that day, I had a few more things to buy, so I only purchased four items, and it came to 997 yen. I was grinning to myself as I paid at the register. Hehe.

This blog post has absolutely no substance, but I'm writing it in commemoration of 9/11 Day on September 11, 2026.

Even now, I still cherish and love 911 just as much as I did before.
I'm grateful for a life that includes encountering Porsche 911.
I hope that we can celebrate 9/11 again next year in a happy way, and that this year's 9/11 was a wonderful one for everyone.
