3rd generation Panamera includes 4 E-Hybrid models, new PDK
It has been announced that the new 3rd generation Panamera, which is currently undergoing its final test drive in Barcelona, will make its world premiere at the Icons of Porsche Festival to be held in Dubai on November 24, 2023.
The biggest changes to the new Panamera are a new PDK and a chassis equipped with a newly developed active damper control.
What will the new PDK look like?
As an amateur like me, I might not be able to tell the difference anymore (lol). Because I'm completely satisfied with the current PDK and just think it's amazing... ^^
The new Panamera is currently undergoing quality testing on four continents around the world ahead of its November announcement.
For example, in the United States, drivetrain performance was checked at very high altitudes and low oxygen levels, engine cooling systems and air conditioning performance were verified in extreme heat, etc.
Tests in very low temperatures in Scandinavia, driving tests in terrible road conditions in South Africa, and driving tests in Asia with extremely high humidity and heavy traffic jams (I wonder if this is about Japan (lol)).
According to Porsche, the new Panamera is sure to be particularly superior in terms of performance, comfort, and acoustics.
Four E-hybrid models appear in the new Panamera
The second-generation Panamera already had three E-hybrid models, but the new Panamera will now include a fourth plug-in hybrid model.
This model was realized due to requests from many customers.
In some countries, the proportion of Panamera E-hybrid models is almost 100%. That's amazing.
Now, all E-Hybrid models have improved electrical performance in the key areas of driving dynamics, electric range, and charging speed. It seems that it is now possible to run 70%.
The basis of the new Panamera E-Hybrid model is a new electric motor that is fully integrated into the transmission housing of a new, more powerful dual-clutch transmission.
Although it is lightweight, it offers a higher drivetrain and regeneration performance value than the current model, and the energy is shared by a high-voltage battery with a large capacity of 25.9kWh.
In addition, the 11kWh on-board charger seems to shorten charging time despite the increased amount of energy.
Fundamental revisions to the internal combustion engine have helped improve efficiency and performance, and all drivetrains in the new Panamera have been prepared to meet future emissions standards.
Equipped with innovative air suspension
For the first time, the new Panamera is available with active damper control and an optional high-end chassis with a wide range of additional features, making it extremely comfortable on the cobblestones of Barcelona's port and very dynamic on the winding country roads outside the city. He was said to be agile.
The new Panamera is equipped with a semi-active chassis with new two-valve shock absorbers as standard, allowing compression and rebound to be adjusted independently, greatly expanding the range of chassis tuning for comfort and performance. It is said that it will be done.
Although the details of the fourth E-Hybrid model were not mentioned in this advance announcement, we are looking forward to the announcement in Dubai in November.
Lastly, the new Panamera with camouflage that was unveiled this time, I don't really like the way the headlights are camouflaged to make it a little bigger...(lol)↓
Here is what I tried deleting. Yeah, it's pretty good, isn't it? ? ↓
Since the new Panamera will be announced in November @ Dubai, the world premiere at Laguna Seca at the end of September will be 992.2...
I'm also excited about that.
