After leaving Kusafue, which was the lunch venue, we will run a little longer distance using the highway.

What was prepared for that section was a special radio program by Mr. Chris Pepler, sponsored by TAG Heuer, created exclusively for The Rally.

I usually don't listen to the radio when I'm driving alone, so I'm not used to listening to the radio properly in the car. I had to turn it up pretty loud to hear what was going on.

After getting off the highway, it's a perfect day for a convertible car.

Checkpoint 3: Chihiro Art Museum Azumino

The third checkpoint is the Chihiro Art Museum Azumino. This is an art museum that mainly exhibits the works of picture book artist Chihiro Iwasaki.

Since it is a checkpoint, you will have to stamp it first after parking.

In this way, the staff will push it to the designated place.

It was an art museum located in a magnificent land surrounded by a lot of nature.

I would like to say that the distance to walk in this nature to the museum was also a little change of pace after getting off the Porsche ... but it was good, but it was very hot ( smile).

I was worried about the staff who were standing under the scorching sun and being guided. But everyone said, "It's okay!"

Is the souvenir you received at this stamp checkpoint an apple pie from this museum? Sweets and whole Shinshu apple juice.

I was able to enjoy the cold juice in the open space of the museum, so I enjoyed nature in front of me.

Speaking of Chihiro Iwasaki, many of you may have seen her in the illustrations for "Totto-chan at the Window".

Many works depicting "children" by Chihiro Iwasaki were on display.

There is also a reproduction of the school in the train that Totto-chan used to go to at the window.

After spending some time at the museum, it's off to the next destination.

I will run with Porsche 911 earnestly in the idyllic scenery.

This is the best. Feels good. No need to speed. Even if the Porsche isn't going fast, it's plenty fun at legal speed.

Of course, the faster you go, the better.

But it's also great to run leisurely.

While looking at such a refreshing scenery, don't rush, don't rush, just run straight, "Oh, the 911 is the best", this feeling from the bottom of my heart.

It's one of the charms of Porsche that can't be talked about just by performance that makes me feel like that, and I'm enjoying the lifestyle that Porsche is in my life ... I think that's what it means.

Checkpoint 4: Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort

At the fourth checkpoint, Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort, an event where you can Taikan was also held.

I was guided to the parking lot, and from the moment I stopped the car and got off, I heard the cosmic acceleration sound of that Taycan.

I like that future sound of the Taycan.

Here, the desired entrant was able to experience the Taycan's launch control start in the prepared Taycan's passenger seat.

Of course I will experience it too.

Mr. Naoya Yamano, a racing driver, will be driving.

I've met him several times already, so from the moment I met him, I thought, "Oh, it's been a long time."

I had a tremendous launch acceleration of Taikan, and on the way back I had a slalom experience from the launch. It's fun.

Oh yeah, and Mr. Yamano and another Porsche professional came to run the Taikan here.

It was a reunion with the Porsche professional for the first time in a while, so I said ``It's been a long time ~'', but this person was really a ``professional'' after all! !

Actually, during the two days of this rally, there was something I wore as an accessory like a talisman.

Only this Porsche Pro noticed this at the moment he met me and said, "Ah! That's a cam follower!"

Some of the rally management staff and entrants may have noticed, but just didn't mention it.

But at this moment, he was the only one who was recognized as "It's a cam follower!" As expected, Porsche was too professional and I was impressed ^ ^

By the way, after enjoying Taikan, it's time to enjoy Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort.

Take the gondola up to the summit of Iwatake at an altitude of 1,289m.

Two Porsche SUVs were waiting at the top of the mountain, and the staff took a commemorative photo of the entrant standing between these two Porsches.

There were other entrants who also experienced the swings that were in a position where they could only be seen as if they would fall off a cliff.

In reality, it's not like you're going to fall at all, but if you look at it from behind, you can make one more mistake and you'll fall! It was a feeling that seemed to be, so I was muffled.

In addition, there is a cafe in a place where you can enjoy the view from the top of the mountain.

Here again, I was able to spend an elegant time while enjoying the grandeur of nature.

There was also a staff member here who took pictures of the entrants with these wonderful mountains in the background.

The staff who come to the place where you think, "I wish I could take a picture here," said, "I'll take it!" It's really exhausting.

After enjoying the summit, ride the fearsome gondola back down to earth and transfer to the Porsche 911.

Day 1 Goal: Hakuba Tokyu Hotel

This is the end of all points acquisition on the first day of the rally. Afterwards, we headed to the hotel where we will be staying for the night.

The moment I arrive at the hotel after finishing the first day is quite a relief.

1st day goal

At this hotel, the staff will park the car, so we will check in at the hotel after leaving the 911 at this entrance.

The A group I was driving this time was the first group to leave on this day, so I was able to arrive at the hotel with plenty of time to spare for dinner at night, which was helpful. .

Originally, I think that a room on the side where you can see the mountains of the Alps, which is the "Northern Alps Side" as a hotel, would be a better room, but this time, the room on the "parking lot side" is mine. It was the best room for us.

I was able to see the parking lot where the Porsches who just finished the first day and the Porsches who finished were lined up and parked one after another by the staff.

From the hotel room, I was only looking at the bottom rather than the scenery (laughs).

dinner party

It's time to go to the dinner venue.

You may not be able to see it because the image is blurred, but in reality, the pair of entrants face each other diagonally, with a partition in between. There is also a corona infection prevention measure called keeping seating.

Mr. Philippe, the new CEO of Porsche Japan, greeted us at the first toast of the dinner party.

Surprisingly, he gave a speech entirely in Japanese (it wasn't that he was fluent in Japanese, but that he read everything written on paper just for this day).

After that, course meals were served, so various events were held while enjoying them.

One of the events held during the dinner was the announcement of the results of the photo contest.

In this photo contest, from the start of the rally to the start of the dinner, each entrant will submit only one self-confidence photo taken during the rally.

At the end of the submitted photos, everyone votes for the works that everyone thinks are good and decides the order.

The winning works were announced from 1st to 3rd place, and I was able to receive a prize, but surprisingly my work won 3rd place here!

As for what kind of picture I took, yes, it was a picture of Porsche's bear-chan that I took without thinking because it was too cute at Unnojuku (laughs).

I also took many other Porsche photos, but no matter how many times I looked at the photo folder of my smartphone, this bear was still cute ^ ^ ↓

As a prize, I received a cleaning kit for the interior of Porsche Tequipment.

At the end, the person who barely missed out on winning the prize said to me, "It's cheating to use a projectile!" because I used a bear as a subject. A projectile (laughs).

By the way, the work of the person who took the first place was not actually a Porsche.

Actually, I also saw this photo and voted for this photo first (one person can vote for as many photos as they want). I thought it was a great photo ^^

The photo of the second prize was Porsche, and many other wonderful Porsche photos were posted.

Still, the entrants who were chosen as the first place are having fun, and my third place photo is a bear looking happily outside.

From this point of view, I thought again that "lifestyle with Porsche" would be very resonating for everyone.

Next, the annual (?) Lottery.

It's a lottery where you can win wonderful prizes from various sponsors, but I was surprised at the number of prizes in this rally. The number of prizes is enough for most of the entrants to win something.

Here, our house also received a Porsche car pocket umbrella. I'm so happy.

Another interesting thing was that the person who won a pair of accommodation tickets for the Tokyo Prince Hotel, the final goal of this rally, said in the winning comment, "I live in Shinagawa..." (laughs) ).

As expected of the generous owner! What I thought was the entrant who won the Porsche golf set that was the Porsche Center Aoyama Award.

The winning golf set was not only a ball and a towel, but also a Porsche golf bag.

In a hurry, the entrants who wanted a golf bag held a game of rock-paper-scissors to get a golf bag (laughs). It was fun ^^

So, after enjoying dinner time, it's time to open the door.

In the previous rally, after dinner, the entrants gathered and let us sit in the restaurant and continue drinking, but this time, we had a little time to interact with the entrants after dinner, so we were able to meet with everyone. I enjoyed it even more.

This time, TAG Heuer had a booth at this hotel and was selling it, but an acquaintance of an entrant purchased the "TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 Porsche Special" at this place. rice field.

Three pace cars from this rally were displayed in the garden overlooking the patio where the entrants could interact even outside.

In the darkness of the night, the Porsches projected on the lawn are very cool.

I drank a lot on this day, but I went to bed early and prepared for tomorrow.
