Rally briefing at The Momentum by Porsche
October 20, 2019. From the morning in HakoneRun to Daikanzan with GT3 and meet many PorscheI was entertained, but in fact, there was another event that I was very much looking forward to from this afternoon.
That will be done at this Porsche Center Ginza ...
It wasn't, it's adjacent to the Porsche Center Ginza,The Momentum by Porsche… This shop is “a restaurant for Porsche Lovers delivered by Porsche”, and the restaurant that the Porsche headquarters in Germany only accepts that “Porsche” can be included in the name. … And it is a rally briefing session held.
The preliminary briefing session for the previous rally was also held here. The second time this time is also held in Momentum.
Last time, since it was the first time for Porsche to hold a rally, all the people who participated in this briefing session were "first time attending" this briefing session, so when I go to the briefing session, it's a little There was a feeling of tension.
"What kind of people will participate?" "What kind of atmosphere is it?"
But this is the second time.
From the moment I entered the store, I saw the faces of the staff who had met many times at last year's rally and subsequent events.
I don't feel any tension anymore, and I'm just happy that it overflows ^^

The inside of the store is full of rallies. Oh, the tension is already rising!
When you sit down, you can have a drink. Last year there was a drink, but it seems that this year it wasn't. No, I'm driving (or not), so I don't have to drink alcohol at all ^^
After that, simple light meals and desserts were prepared, so I was able to have them self-service.
Until the briefing session begins, all the participants will gather and wait for the start time while enjoying delicious food and drinks.
I saw all the participants this time, and I was so happy when I found a face I knew there! !!
I was so excited that "Hello! It's been a long time" ^^ Also, this time it wasn't the last rally event, but people I knew at other places were also participating in the rally, so I encountered it here.
He said, "I participated because it seemed to be fun to see this blog last year," and I was very honored and happy.
Now, let's check the distributed booklet (guidebook) of this rally. The destination this time is "Featuring Mt. Fuji", so it's in the direction of Mt. Fuji.
In this booklet this time, there is a beautiful Mt. Fuji at the end of Porsche. Mt. Fuji will be a picture, but Porsche will be a picture as well.
The entrants who will participate in the briefing session on this day have gathered, so the briefing session has finally started.
55 cars participated in this rally. About 30 groups of 60 people participated in the briefing session on that day. It should be crowded in the store already.
Even so, since the number of participants last year was 91, considering that the number of participants at the briefing session at that time was over 100, from those who knew the last time, this time I felt a lot of relaxation. Is it not?
* The number of applicants for the rally did not decrease from the previous year, but the maximum number of vehicles that can participate in the rally was 91 in the previous year, but this year it was set to 55, so it is 55.
Of the 55 groups participating, 25 groups are said to have participated in the rally last year as well. It also makes sense that there are many nostalgic faces.
I'm really feeling "I'm back!" This place, this atmosphere, Porsche starting from now on, my favorite management staff, and Porsche rubber entrants, two days full of really really dark Porsche.
My feelings were nothing more than "returning" there.
The briefing session started, greetings, and explanations about the outline of the event.

Furthermore, this time, just before this briefing session, it was predicted that typhoon No. 19 would hit directly, and the next typhoons would come after that until the rally date, so there was an explanation about that. ..
Before this briefing session, the management people worked hard to make plans, repeated test runs, and created a route and frame diagram, but there will be roads that will be closed due to the influence of the typhoon. It's too difficult because it's possible and it's already out.
However, I'm sure that the excitement of the people who prepared for the rally was even greater because they overcame these difficulties and completed the rally ^^
At the rally, there was a "numbering method" that was easy to understand as a difference from the previous time.
Last time, the number was assigned to Tsutaya in Daikanyama, which was the starting point, in the order in which the cars arrived, but this time, at the time of the briefing session, the number of each entrant was decided from the beginning. I did.
Certainly, if you arrive at the departure point in the order of arrival, everyone who wants an early number will tend to gather early in the morning, and those who manage it will also be prepared for the future if the number is decided in advance. I think it was very efficient because I was able to manage and proceed with each number.
Also, last time the entrants were divided into 4 groups, but this time it is now 3 groups. Group A, Group B, and Group C, a collection of classic cars.
A is red, B is blue, and C is green, so it's easy to understand ^^
By the way, I was in the same group A as last time, so the color was also "red" and I was very familiar with it. Also this year, I'm in Group A, and I'm kind of happy ^^
At the briefing session, I was able to get a mini sticker with the number of my vehicle. You can put this on your car on the day, or just show it on your dashboard.
This is a big deal, so I'd like to paste it somewhere else at a later date without pasting it ~ ^^
It was also explained that this rally will not be ranked because it is "not competitive". To the last, "a rally to enjoy Porsche 911" instead of competing with each other.

The first Porsche 911 Karuizawa Rally was a truly dreamy two days.
From the moment that rally event was over, I thought that there would be no best event with such a dark Porsche color anymore.
From the standpoint of participating, I knew that the preparation and operation would be difficult, so I thought that this rally event would not be held for a while.
Even if it was held, I was vaguely wondering if it would be every five years, a milestone of some kind of anniversary, or something like that.
But.
From an entrant's point of view, let me tell you that the second rally will be held so quickly and without thinking about the hardships of the management, "I'm really, purely just happy" (tears). .. thank you very much.
