A certain issue concerning the Austrian cultural and historical mansion "Zweig Villa (also known as Paschinger Castle)," which was purchased by Wolfgang Porsche, was reported in the news around March of last year.
What this means is that Mr. Porsche had a plan to build a private underground tunnel from the bottom of the mountain to his house, and he obtained permission from the city to do so.
However, this series of plans seemed to have provoked resentment, with some saying, "If you're rich, you can do whatever you want," and was therefore viewed as problematic.

Porsche's representatives have reportedly declined to comment on the reasons for selling the mansion, which had been completely renovated and modernized. However, according to local media reports, it is believed that pressure related to his private tunnel construction project was the cause.
The public's opposition to the tunnel construction permit stemmed not only from the perception that it was merely a rich person's hobby, but also from the fact that the permit was approved by the city council with a budget of only 48,000 euros (approximately 8.8 million yen) and without any consultation with the public.
What's even more problematic is that this construction project was supposed to begin after the current mayor, Bernhard Auinger, took over from the previous mayor. This Auinger worked for Porsche for 27 years and even served as a director of Porsche's holding company as a union representative.
Although the person in question insists it was "just a coincidence," from the perspective of those around them, it's hard not to be a little confused.
...Well, even if we don't know the truth, it's understandable that people might suspect some kind of favoritism was involved.
Currently, this mansion is for sale for 12.7 million euros (approximately 2.34 billion yen).
According to one property listing, the tunnel construction permit is valid until 2028, meaning the next owner can legally construct the tunnel until 2028.
Of course, there will be opposition from public opinion, so it's uncertain whether the tunnel can actually be built, but if it's someone completely unrelated to Porsche, perhaps the tunnel could be built surprisingly easily?
Mr. Porsche and his wife were planning to move into this house as soon as the renovations were finished, so it must be very disappointing for them. However, I can understand that the tunnel has made it impossible for them to live here peacefully and comfortably.
The best thing about this property is that, being located on top of Mount Kapuzinerberg, it offers secluded tranquility and breathtaking panoramic views. However, getting there requires climbing over 100 steep steps, and during the winter, snow makes it difficult to even reach the house.
In that case, for the elderly Mr. Porsche, if he could no longer secure a route to quickly drive from the bottom of the mountain through a tunnel and reach his home, he may have felt there was no point in owning the car anymore.
This mansion is three stories tall and features 12 bedrooms as well as various formal spaces.
