We look forward to your continued support this year. We hope that 2026 will be a year of health, safety, and even more happiness for you all.
I've been slacking off on my blog since December 22, 2025, and I'm sorry for skipping my end-of-year greetings.
I've been reaching a lot of big milestones both at home and at work (although I'm grateful that they're all positive and good things ^^), so I've been busier than usual.
Although I haven't been able to update my blog about my beloved Porsche, I personally follow most of the news about Porsche and still enjoy it every day.

In 2026, blog updates may be a little slower than before (?), but I would be happy if you would come visit again when you have time.
So, this year again, I would like to look back on Porsche in 2025. The contents are what Porsche officially announced as a look back on 2025.

Porsche January 2025
The most dynamic 911 Carrera S ever
The 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera S was announced on January 8, 2025.
This model boasts enhanced performance and driving dynamics, far surpassing its predecessor.

20th victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona
Porsche Penske Motorsports achieves second consecutive victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
The 2024 winner, Felipe Nasr of Brazil, Nick Tandy of Great Britain and Laurens Vanthoor of Belgium took the top step of the podium in a Porsche 963 (#7).

Porsche February 2025
Initiated changes to the board of directors
The company has initiated previously planned changes to its board of directors, with Jochen Breckner taking over as Head of Finance and IT and Matthias Becker taking over as Head of Sales and Marketing, effective February 26, 2025.
His predecessors were Lutz Meschke and Detlev von Platen, respectively.

Porsche News is now available on WhatsApp
We are further expanding our online communication and will now provide regular updates on the latest Porsche news on two new WhatsApp channels.
I think Line is more popular than WhatsApp in Japan, but this may be good news for those who use WhatsApp.

Porsche March 2025
Announcement: Recording solid performance despite challenging environment
This was the month in which the company announced its financial results for fiscal year 2024. It reported that it had recorded record sales in four of its five global regions, and that its automotive division's net cash flow was strong, nearly reaching its all-time high for fiscal year 2023.

Modernized PCM: performance improvements and new features
With the model year change, the digital user experience has been improved across the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne model series.
The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system has been radically improved, offering improved performance and access to the Porsche Pre-Center.
Other new features include Dolby Atmos® for an improved sound experience, the Amazon Alexa® digital assistant and the expanded Porsche Connect package.

Porsche April 2025
Zuffenhausen plant celebrates 75th anniversary
The first Porsche 356 produced in Germany was completed on April 6, 1950. For decades thereafter, Zuffenhausen was the center of Porsche production. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the main Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen.
Engines, electric drive units and customisation for each customer are also carried out here.

Porsche 911 Spirit 70 announced
The 911 Spirit 70 was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show, featuring a limited edition Olive Neo color, historically inspired decorative graphics and the legendary Pasha pattern on the interior.
This convertible is limited to 1,500 units and embodies the essence of the 1970s and early 1980s.

Third Annual General Meeting of Shareholders: Accelerating restructuring and stabilizing dividends
The third annual general meeting of shareholders was held on May 21, 2025, where Porsche CEO (at the time) Oliver Blume explained the company's adjusted product and business plans to shareholders.
The new management team aims to lead Porsche into a resilient and profitable future, despite the significant global challenges that remain.

Norman Foster Foundation and Porsche unveil architectural installation
"Gateway to Venice's Waterway" is the first result of a creative collaboration between The Norman Foster Foundation and Porsche.
The foundation's architects and Porsche designers collaborated to explore the future of urban transport, resulting in a structure that embodies the vision of a transport hub for Venice.
The installation is part of Porsche's design and art initiative, "The Art of Dreams," and is scheduled to be exhibited at the Venice Biennale Architettura 2025.

Porsche 963 RSP unveiled
Porsche has announced the 963 RSP, a sister car to the 963 hypercar.
Based on the IMSA and WEC champion car, this one-off model is inspired by the iconic Porsche 917.

2nd place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Porsche Penske Motorsport's Porsche 963 (#6) finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Matt Campbell, Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor's #6 came in second, just 14.084 seconds behind the first-placed Ferrari.
In the LMGT3 category, Team Manthey won their second consecutive class victory with the Porsche 911 GT3 R for the first time since 2024.

Cayenne shows off at Goodwood
The new Porsche Cayenne will be unveiled at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The new Cayenne Electric, which had not yet been released, showed impressive performance at the Goodwood Hill Climb.

Team and manufacturer titles won at the final race of the season
Porsche wins the Teams and Manufacturers category in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
This means that Pascal Wehrlein has now won the Formula E title, following on from being crowned Drivers' World Champion last season.

Continued generational change on the Board of Directors
Here again, a generational change is taking place on the board of directors.
As of August 19, 2025, Vera Schalwig will succeed Andreas Haffner as Head of Human Resources and Social Welfare.
Additionally, Joachim Scharnagl will succeed Barbara Frenkel as Head of Procurement.

Exhibiting at IAA Mobility 2025

Defend all titles in the 2025 IMSA Championship
The factory team's two Porsche 963 prototypes finished third and tenth in the season finale at Road Atlanta, securing the manufacturers' title once again.
Former Porsche juniors Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet from Australia won the drivers' title, and Porsche Penske Motorsports won the teams' championship for the second consecutive year.

Grant Larson: 30 years of shaping the Porsche dream
Designer Grant Larson, who has had a 36-year career at Porsche, has decided to retire.

911 GT3 90 FA Porsche unveiled
A special model will be released to commemorate the birthday of Ferdinand Alexander (FA) Porsche, who would have turned 90 on December 11, 2025, if he were still alive.
That's the four-wheeled gift: the new 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche.

2026
Porsche AG CEO replaced
Effective January 1, 2026, Porsche AG will have a new CEO.
The new CEO will be Michael Leiters, while Oliver Blume, who has served as CEO of Porsche for the past 10 years, will continue as CEO of the Volkswagen Group.

That's Porsche's look back at 2025.
There were many other events happening for Porsche in 2025, but the events that symbolized the year Porsche was officially selected for were mainly related to management, products and technology, and motorsports.
With a new CEO and new management team since last year, I'm looking forward to seeing what strategies Porsche will adopt and what models it will bring to the market in 2026.
