A first in the new era of GTP
On January 25, 2026, Porsche Penske Motorsport will win the overall victory at the 64th Daytona 24 Hours (IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship), becoming the first team to achieve three consecutive overall victories in the new era of Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) racing, which began in 2023.
Congratulations~^^!!

This brings Porsche's total number of wins at Daytona to 21, and also extends the record to 25 cars equipped with Porsche engines.

The winning car was a Porsche 963, driven by Felipe Nasr from Brazil, Julien Andlauer from France, and Laurin Heinrich from Germany. They completed 705 laps to achieve an incredible victory.
In this Daytona 24 Hours race, the No. 7 Porsche 963 took the checkered flag in the climax of a close race, with the difference being just 1.569 seconds, in a dramatic turn of events.
Felipe Nasr is also the driver who has won the Daytona 24 Hours (overall victory) three years in a row.

Only a few drivers have achieved this feat to date, including Peter Gregg, who won the overall championship in 1973, 1975, and 1976 (the 1974 race was not held due to the oil crisis), and Helio Castroneves, who won the overall championship from 2021 to 2023.

The other factory-entered car in the race, the sister car No. 6 (Porsche 963), ultimately finished in 4th place overall, while the customer team's No. 85 (Porsche 963) came in 7th.

The Porsche-Penske team is the first team in the GTP car era to achieve three consecutive wins at Daytona, which is an incredible result and I think it was an exciting day for everyone.

Roger Penske, founder and CEO of Penske Corporation:
"Our victory in Daytona is the perfect way to kick off the celebration of the Penske Team's 60th anniversary. We also congratulate Porsche on kicking off its 75th year in motorsports in such a great way. We will continue to write our own story of success together. This victory reflects the unwavering determination and dedication of every single person at Porsche Penske Motorsports in Mooresville and Germany."
And comment.

Customer Team Results
Porsche vehicles also performed very well outside the top GTP class.
Customer team JDC-Miller MotorSports took the lead early on in their Porsche 963, eventually finishing in 7th place overall.
Manthey and AO Racing also competed in the GTD Pro class with a 911 GT3 R, finishing 5th and 9th respectively.

In the GTD category, the Porsche cars of Manthey 1st Phorm and Muehlner Motorsports finished in 12th and 15th place.
Wow, congratulations to Porsche!
