A story about how the Porsche Lifestyle prototype collection turned out to be fake

The "Prototype Collection" series, created to commemorate the opening of Porsche Studio Singapore, is currently being sold by Porsche dealers in Japan as part of the official Porsche merchandise series.

I had the opportunity to go to Singapore this summer, so IStopping by Porsche Studio SingaporeAlthough they were more expensive locally than in Japan (lol), I decided to buy a few of these prototypes from the Porsche Studio in Singapore as this was a special series to celebrate the opening of Singapore.

I think I bought a bag and a hoodie for myself, and a T-shirt and a polo shirt for my husband.

There was another reason why I chose to buy it in Singapore even though it was a little more expensive than in Japan. Porsche Studio Singapore offers a service where if you purchase a patch at the same time, they will attach it to something else you purchase on the spot.

So, the T-shirt from the prototype collection I bought for my husband...

I had this Porsche penguin patch attached to it ↓ Hmm, so cute ^^

The other day, my husband tried wearing this T-shirt for the first time, but every time I met someone who knew Porsche, they noticed that there was a penguin on it, and I was kind of happy ^^

I too had a big smile on my face when I saw this original prototype collection T-shirt with a penguin on it.

…When.

At this point, I happened to look at the T-shirt my husband was wearing from behind.

"Prototype" is spelled "Prototype", right?

The word prototype on my husband's T-shirt is clearly spelled "Prototyp."

No no no, where did that last 'e' go???

The moment I saw this, I was in a panic, thinking "Could it be a fake?!" "I bought it at Porsche Studio Singapore, but even in Singapore, you never know where you might get scammed in Asia?!"

I thought to myself, "Maybe I've been fooled into thinking this is a Porsche Studio in Singapore," so I decided to do a search.

What did you search for? Of course, it's the prototype spelling.

I wanted to convince myself that my knowledge was wrong and that maybe it wasn't a fake and the spelling of prototype was "Prototyp" (lol).

The German spelling of prototype is Prototyp

As a result, I investigated and found out.

As expected, the English spelling of prototype is "Prototype" with an e at the end. However, in German it is "Prototyp" without the e at the end! Aaaah, ignorance is scary.

It's common for spellings to be similar in different languages, but there's no need to take out the final e, Mr. German. I was so worried...

So, the spelling of prototype in German is "Prototyp", and when I took another look at Porsche's official website, I saw that it was correctly spelled "Prototyp".

If you're used to seeing the English spelling, the German spelling still feels a bit strange.

So, if you have purchased the Prototyp Collection and see the word "Prototyp", don't panic (or am I the only one who panics (lol)?).

By the way, I've been using this bag from the prototype collection a lot lately because it's so easy to use like an eco bag (you can just throw anything in it)↓
