167,354 Porsche sales in the first half of 2023
The number of deliveries at Porsche Worldwide for the first half of 2023 (January to June) has been announced.
The number, 167,354 units, up 15% compared to the same period last year.
As a result, we broke records in all sales regions around the world.
Especially strong in Europe
Porsche in the first half of 2023 is +15% year-on-year globally, of which growth in Europe (excluding Germany) is +23%, and Germany +24%.
North America is also doing a very good double digit +12%.
Japan has been included in the "overseas and emerging markets" category, and at this time Porsche Japan has not announced figures for the first half of 2023 in Japan, so I do not know.
Porsche delivery number table for the first half (January to June)
Number of deliveries | January-June 2022 | January to June 2023 | Year-over-year basis |

Germany | 13,785 | 17,118 | +24% |
North America | 37,605 | 41,937 | +12% |
China | 40,681 | 43,832 | +8% |
Europe (other than Germany) | 29,833 | 36,574 | +23% |
Overseas/Emerging Markets | 23,956 | 27,893 | +16% |
Sales volume by Porsche model
Here are the first half 2023 deliveries for each model:
model | January-June 2022 | January to June 2023 | Year-over-year basis |
Cayenne | 41,947 | 46,884 | +12% |
Macan | 38,039 | 47,755 | +26% |
911 | 21,616 | 26,124 | +21% |
Taycan | 18,877 | 17,991 | -5% |
Panamera | 15,604 | 17,565 | +13% |
718 | 9,777 | 11,035 | +13% |
In terms of the number of units delivered, the SUV Cayenne and Macan are still very strong, but compared to the same period last year, the 911 also increased considerably this time.
I wonder if there was a demand until now, but the various reasons why we couldn't deliver due to supply chain problems have been resolved, and this is the number.
By the way, Porsche explains that the Taycan, which was the only negative year-on-year, was "more affected by the shortage of parts than other model lines."
"Value-oriented" growth is the top priority for Porsche, and while the global economic situation is still severe, it is said that it will flexibly focus on achieving it.
“We are working to balance demand and sharing, especially in China, in line with Porsche's luxury positioning,” he added.
Hmm. I wonder if it's a little bad that Porsche is selling too much (too much) in China.
