the other dayPorsche's birthday on June 8, 2025I had the opportunity to take part in a spontaneous tour (in a GT4 RS).
At this time of year when the rainy season is on the verge of starting, it would actually be better if you could check the weather just before and say "I'll go tomorrow (because it doesn't look like it's going to rain)" ^^
In my family, we often have difficulty adjusting schedules early on, so if it's a sudden event, I'd be happy as there is a higher chance that we can attend.
So, since this day was Porsche's birthday, I was extremely happy to be able to drive around with the Porsches.

And what's more.
There were a lot of things going on that day that might have forced me to leave halfway through, but it was a tour that made me feel like I had to participate no matter what, even if just for a little while.
Why? You ask?
Here's why...
I understand?

Ooooh. This is it!!
This car!!!
Porsche 911 S/TIsn't that right!!

This model was produced in a limited run of 1,963 units worldwide to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911.
The body color of this S/T model is Shoreblue Metallic, a new color introduced with the S/T.

The wheel rim color is Ceramica.

The gold PORSCHE logo and other details unique to the S/T really stood out.

The grill badge is also special.

Oh man, just the 911S/T badge is cool.
I want it (although even if I did receive it, I don't know what to do with it (lol)).

I was able to sit inside as well...I'm very grateful to the owner, thank you very much.
It's amazing that even the door handles (the parts you pull) are finished in leather.

The black/classic cognac leather interior was dark, but it was lighter than it looked in the pictures (the bent steering wheel is just part of the charm).

The meter is green, which is unique to the S/T and is a nice touch. The whole panel is not colored, which makes it look stylish.

Apparently the manual transmission, S/T, has extremely good response, and the owner even said, "When I drive it, I realize how bad I am at driving."
*Of course, the owner is just being modest and is very good at it. However, even such a person would think that the car is so sharp that it looks like a 911.

After meeting the very rare Porsche 911 S/T, we drove together to Mt. Daikanzan.

Oh yes, earlier, at the same place where we had arranged to meet the touring members for that day, there were other Porsche touring groups there too.

We were talking about how we might be heading to the same place, and then we ended up meeting at the same spot, Mt. Daikan.
It's really wonderful to see the circle of Porsches expanding, and I'm very happy just to be able to see with my own eyes that there are so many Porsches out there.

It's been a while since I last visited Mt. Daikan.
By the way, I have been able to do various driving practice in my black Carrera (a basic 991.2 Carrera), so I feel that I understand the car's behavior to a certain extent and that I will be able to respond if something happens, but with other Porsches I have never practiced driving at full throttle to the point where I understand the car's behavior, so when I get on wet mountain roads I drive like a complete loser.
Furthermore, I was still breaking in my mid-engine Porsche (GT4RS), which I have declared to be my weak point, so on the mountain passes that day, everyone else was letting me pass them, and I ended up arriving at Mt. Okanayama with poor driving (lol).

Well, the touring on this day was not particularly "Let's go with Porsche only", so there were cars other than Porsche, but as Porsche, we didn't have any particular talk with them...

Miraculously, all four Porsches except for the Porsche 911 S/T, which was the highlight of the event (or was it (lol)?), were 718 Cayman GT4 RSs.
Isn't this a remarkable coincidence?

Here are the participating cars:
The main character is S/T-sama.

Next up are the GT4 RSs.

Although they were Porsche owners, there were also people who came with cars other than Porsches on this day.

Furthermore, this red car did not come on the tour with us, but we happened to be together at Mt. Daikan and it seems that the touring members knew someone there, and they also joined us on the touring route after that.
So, if we include this car, in addition to the 911 S/T, Porsche has five 718 Cayman GT4RSs.

The GT4 RS surrounds the S/T.
What is this, cool.

Due to schedule reasons, our family had to leave Mt. Okanayama, so we said goodbye to everyone and headed back to Tokyo.
It was a little rainy in the morning, but by the time we arrived at Okanayama the rain had stopped and Mt. Fuji was starting to come into view, so it seemed like we were blessed with perfect weather for the rest of our tour, which was great.

I wasn't able to participate, but here are some photos from Mikuni Pass, where everyone went after Mt. Daikanzan.
With Mt. Fuji in the background, the S/T is surrounded by the GT4 RS, creating a truly amazing composition!
It's so wonderful ^^

Thank you for letting me join you on this memorable day, Porsche's birthday, and for making this a wonderful experience that will remain in my memory!
And happy birthday Porsche!
*I borrowed some photos taken by someone who accompanied me on some tours. Thank you very much.
