I met a black Porsche 911 painted with true black warriors

Posted: Posted:

I wanted to take a look at the paint with a light absorption rate of 99.4%

Previously, BMW exhibited the new X6 (BMW VB X6) at the Frankfurt Motor Show, painted with Vantablack, which has a light absorption rate of about 99%.

When I saw the article at that time, I thought, "I want to actually see this Vantablack BMW in front of me!"

However, I couldn't go all the way to Frankfurt, so I gave up.True Black MusouI saw the news that a black Porsche 911 with a light absorption rate of 99.4% was made with this paint.

Is there a car painted black in Japan, and is it a Porsche 911? ? ?

If I had known that, I would have already said, "I definitely want to see you at first sight."

This time, a shop called Pit One, which painted this Porsche 911 with a true black warrior, held an event on July 31, 2022, and this black Porsche 911 was open to the public on the spot, so let me go there. I was.

I made my way all the way from Tokyo to Pit One in the sunshine and heat that could cause heatstroke in minutes if I let my guard down.

Pit One is located in Gifu prefecture.

e? Have you been to Gifu Prefecture?

I went there! Because it's definitely closer than Frankfurt ^ ^

This Porsche 911 also said that the painting will be removed at the end of July 31st (now it has changed a little and it seems that it has been postponed until the event is exhibited again in August), so I missed this chance this time. Because if I did, I might not be able to see you again.

The Porsche 911 Turbo is painted with a water-based paint called "True Black Musou", which is read as "Shinkokushokumusou".

I had heard that the paint would come off just by getting it wet or touching it, so I was a little surprised that this exhibition wasn't surrounded by ropes or anything like that and there was no warning not to touch it. I was.

Even so, there were a lot of small children at the venue, but they didn't touch the car or try to get inside, and they were very well mannered, so it's a relationship of trust between the shop and the customers. I thought, I thought it was really good ^ ^

By the way, my impression that I actually saw this black Porsche in front of me.

To be honest, I was like, "Dark matte black?"

I thought that if I saw the actual car in front of me, I would be like, "What is this? My eyes and brain are messed up. Is this a black hole feeling?" The black Porsche I saw had a very dark matte finish, and it didn't make me think, "My head is delusional."

However, I think this is because it was displayed under the strong sunlight, and when I looked at the part that was actually in the shadow, it was pitch black.

I will try to get closer and take a picture.

The blackness is emphasized when you look at the shadowed part or the part where the sunlight is hard to hit.

I thought I might be able to experience this blackness more if I saw it on a cloudy day or at night. ← Even if the light hits the car in the dark, the car will not be bright, so I think it will give a more buggy feeling.

If the exhibition was also under the roof, the blackness would have been emphasized and it might have looked like a "picture".

When the sun hits it, it looks like a dark black matte paint, but when it's in the shadows, there's really no unevenness, and everything looks like an "anime painting painted all black".

Does a black Porsche really absorb light?

Here, I wanted to see if this Porsche paint really absorbs light, so I was looking at it with a smartphone light.

In fact, even when the light of the smartphone hits it, the black surface does not "become slightly brighter only where it is illuminated", and there is no change in the areas where the light hits and where it does not. was. This is amazing.

I wanted to convey something to everyone, so I tried flash photography and non-flash photography, so please take a look and compare.

First of all, here is a picture taken without flash. Well, it's just a black Porsche ↓

And here is a picture taken from the same distance with the flash "on".

If you look at the light (blinker) part below, can you see that the flash is shining from the camera side? However, there is no change in the painted part of the black Porsche.

Huh, don't you know? ?

Hmm, what about this? Here's what it looked like when I took the flash. Can you see that it's shining brightly? ?

The moment of flash is at the time of flash photography, but the light is not reflected at all in the black part. This is the power of light absorption rate 99.4%! !

In addition, I really wanted to compare the colors of my jet black Porsche 911 and this black Porsche side by side.

But that is of course impossible, so this time PorscheAR App (AR Visualizer)I was able to appear in.

What are you doing in the heat? (laughs)

The one in the foreground is the solid black Porsche 911 from AR. And in the back is the actual black Porsche 911. The actual car in the back looks more like a fake than the AR in the foreground (laughs).

Rather than looking at it alone in bright light, I felt that I could better understand the "bug feeling" of the actual car, which absorbs light and looks like a solid paint, by looking at it side by side with normal specifications.

By the way, in August 2019, when I saw a picture of BMW's black specification, I thought, "If my Porsche 911 were painted black, it would look like this."was made in photoshopBut here it is ↓

I am very happy that I was able to demonstrate that the black Porsche 911 made with this Photoshop was quite realistic about three years after I made it. Miracle (laughs).

We were talking almost

... and it's been a while since I've written so far, but of course I was impressed by the fact that I was able to actually see the black Porsche 911 with my own eyes, but in fact I saw the Porsche 911 on this day. I spent more time chatting than I did.

There was a place like a resting place in front of the workspace in the back of this place, so more than 2 hours here? We were chatting.

with who?

It was a person in the Tokai region who had just delivered a McLaren 765LT a little while ago, and I was able to talk to him and he came all the way to this place ^ ^

Even though it was a little far from your home, you came and stayed at the black Porsche place for more than 2 hours? We had a great time talking and having a great time.

I was able to talk naturally as if I had known him for a long time.

Shinzo-sama (this is definitely Shinzo-sama (laughs)), thank you very much for staying with us in this hot weather. it was fun!

By the way, there are various cars on display at Pit One on this day, such as McLaren Senna LM and ...

Aventador SVJ etc.

By the way, former professional boxer Yasuei Yakushiji was also here (while I was writing this, I only realized it after Mr. Shinzo told me about it).

There were also baby cobras and various domestic cars on display.

There was also a rock-paper-scissors tournament.

Anyway, since the Vantablack BMW was announced 3 years ago, I've wanted to see it at a glance (of course, the paint is different, so it's not actually the same one), and the all-black Porsche 911 is this one. I was so happy to be able to see it with my own eyes!

If I hadn't seen it this time, I'm sure I'd be wondering what it would look like if I actually saw it, "How much of a black hole would it be?" I think

The Porsche 911 Turbo painted in true black color, when the direct sunlight disappeared, it was just like a ``two-dimensional solid painting?''

The purpose of showing a black Porsche was also achieved, and there were fun encounters and conversations, and it was a very fulfilling day.

Thank you very much, Mr. Pitwan and Mr. Ren Shinzo.

Even so, it was hot! ! !
