A huge number of air-cooled Porsche parts are up for auction

Posted: Posted:

This is amazing!

I don't know much about air-cooled Porsches, but the parts of old classic Porsches are more difficult to obtain, valuable, and rare than the latest Porsches currently on sale. I can imagine that there is.

Various parts of such an air-cooled Porsche are being put up for auction all at once.

The products are being exhibited by Mr. Henry Schmidt from California in the United States, and it appears that these products were actually exhibited once in September 2023.

However, the transaction at that time was not due to any fault of either the seller or the successful bidder, but for some reason the transaction was not completed, so the item was relisted this time.

Thousands of components from air-cooled Porsche 911s manufactured from the 1960s to the 1990s are on display, including approximately 68 engine cases, cylinder heads, camshafts, crankshafts, and other various parts. It is said that there is.

I think this is one of the parts that shops that maintain air-cooled Porsches are in desperate need of.

We also carry everything from gearboxes, brakes, and suspension parts to spare bodywork and exterior trim.

By the way, you can also check the list of engine cases and serial numbers that will be exhibited in advance.

Drivetrain components listed by sellers include:

  • ~36 MFI injection pumps varying degrees of assembly
  • ~98 MFI throttle bodies (69, 70-71, 72-72) 98
  • ~125 MFI intake stacks (magnesium and plastic)
  • ~150 camshaft housings (early only)
  • ~18 air filter housings (early MFI and carburetor)
  • ~ 4 Turbo air filter housings
  • ~120 valve covers (magnesium, aluminum, Turbo)
  • ~160 chain boxes
  • ~240 chain box cover (magnesium, aluminum)
  • ~420 cylinder heads; 70 complete cylinder heads of varying usability and miscellaneous single heads (2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0, 3.2, 3.6)
  • ~200 cylinders (some with piston, some separate pistons)
  • ~800 connecting rods (2.0, 2.2, 2.4/2.7, 3.0, 3.2/3.3/964)
  • ~150 gear sets (901, 914, 915, 930)
  • ~30 main shafts (mostly 901, 914, 904)
  • ~180 throttle valves (2.4, 3.6)
  • ~16 intermediate shafts
  • ~51 crank shafts
  • ~54 flywheels
  • ~27 CIS air boxes with runners (2.4, 2.7, 3.0)
  • ~30 differential housings

Anyway, there are various parts being put up for auction this time, so if you are interested, please go to the auction site and check out the huge number of photos posted there. think. *There is a URL at the end of the site.

One thing to note is that if you win this auction, you will not get everything shown in the photo, but only the "parts".

In other words, the shelves, benches, tools, and other fixtures shown in the photos are not included.

Additionally, successful bidders must complete payment within 10 days of winning a bid, and have up to 30 days to remove the winning bidders.

If it takes more than 30 days, rent will be charged for the storage room (?) shown in the photo.

Even if it is possible to make payment within 10 days (I think only those who can do so will win the bid), after winning the bid, I will transport all of the parts in California somewhere (and I will be responsible for packing them myself). If that's the case, that part will be extremely difficult.

But I'm sure there are a lot of people who want to get this all at once. It's quite a hurdle, but if you're a shopper from Japan who wants to make a successful bid, please do so ^^

*Please note that we have not checked whether it is possible to bid from overseas.
