Pay-as-you-go billing will begin on March 1, 2026
It has been announced that, from March 1, 2026, fast chargers operated by the Premium Charging Alliance (PCA), a domestic fast charger network to which Porsche belongs, will introduce and begin operating a pay-per-use (kWh) system based on the amount of energy charged.

Furthermore, to improve convenience, the basic fee for the monthly membership plan will be reduced and the registration fee will be abolished from the same day.
*Chargers installed at some Porsche locations will still charge by the minute for the time being, while chargers installed at Volkswagen locations are scheduled to begin operation in mid-2026.
PCA is a rapid charging network provided to BEV owners as a premium charging service that integrates the CHAdeMO standard rapid charger network with outputs of 90 to 150 kW from member brands (Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi).

Until now, the service has been operated on a time-based billing system, but this time, a pay-as-you-go system has been adopted to eliminate fluctuations caused by external factors such as the vehicle's power receiving capacity, battery state of charge (SoC), and outside temperature.
The introduction of pay-as-you-go charging will result in a more transparent pricing system, as vehicles will be charged based on the amount of electricity they actually receive.
| Plan | Revised rates (tax included) from March 1, 2026* | Conventional rates(tax included) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charging fee | Monthly Membership Plan | Pay-as-you-go (kWh) charge: 65 yen/kWh | ・Quick charging (150kW) ¥75/min ・Fast charging (90kW) ¥45/min |
| Charging fee | Per-use membership plan | Pay-as-you-go (kWh) charge: 95 yen/kWh | ・Quick charging (150kW) ¥200/min ・Fast charging (90kW) ¥120/min |
| Basic fee | Monthly Membership Plan | 1,100 yen/month | 1,800 yen/month |
| Registration fee | Monthly Membership Plan | Not required (0 yen) | 2,000 yen |
PCA's domestic charging network now has 377 locations and 392 charging stations, nearly three times the number since the service launched in October 2022.
As of January 31, 2026, 20 fast chargers will be installed at Porsche Turbocharging Stations in urban facilities, with 20 units at 11 locations, and 58 units at 54 authorized dealerships.
With the number of chargers being installed increasing, plans being pay-as-you-go, registration fees being abolished, and basic fees being reduced, it would be great if Porsche EV owners could use the service more conveniently and affordably in the future.
