Porsche Platica: 1967 & 2016 911 R models

Porsche Platica is a Porsche-focused gathering hosted by Harper Porsche in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.

I had never heard of this event before, but the next one, to be held on May 3, 2026, will apparently be the third one.

At the second event, held in May this year, the Carrera GT was the star of the show, with a whopping 18 Carrera GTs attending.

There was also an event in Japan in the past where nine Carrera GTs gathered together.I had heard that, but now it's twice as much.

The next main attraction of this event will be the 911 R, and the 911Rs that will be collected are the 911R that was produced in very limited numbers in 1967 and the 911R that was inspired by it and was also produced in limited numbers in 2016.

I'm sure many extremely rare and valuable 911 Rs will gather from all over the United States.

This event brought together 18 Carrera GTs and 911Rs (although it's unclear how many there will be next time). Perhaps because it was held in Tennessee, this year's attendance was just over 3,500 people, which is lower than other Porsche events.

In addition to the main model, there will be nearly 60 rare Porsches on display, so if you happen to be in the Tennessee area next May, why not take part?

Megaphonics '25

Speaking of Porsche events, there is one more.

This event was also held in May of this year in Oxfordshire, England.

The event, called "Megaphonics '25," had over 5,500 participants this year.

The event was organized by Boxengasse in the UK, and many people came from various parts of Europe, making it a place where everyone could enjoy the Porsche brand and interact with each other.

Everything at Megaphonics is designed to highlight the Porsches on display.

The venue featured a wide range of vehicles, from the first full-scale endurance prototype, the 906, to the last air-cooled 911 (993) that left the factory,The Last WaltzThere was also an exhibition of rare Porsches called "."
