Rolls-Royce Kids Design Competition, Winners from Japan

Rendering selected works by professional designers

Rolls-Royce has been holding a young designer competition for kids since April 2020 in response to the fact that various areas have been locked down and refrained from going out due to the coronavirus.

The results of this competition have been announced this time. It seems that more than 5,000 children from more than 80 countries submitted their works.

As a result, there is no such thing as "who won the overall championship", and four categories are set up, and for each category, several works are selected, with the highest award at the top.

In this way, as a result, it was decided to be selected in four categories, but since there were no particular rules in the application requirements for this competition, children are completely free without being bound by anything. It seems that I was able to design a car with the idea.

The four categories in which the works were selected are as follows:

  • Environment
  • Technology
  • Fantasy
  • Fun (fun / funny)

Now let's take a look at the selected work rendered by a professional.

Environment category

Here! !!

First of all, the work submitted from Japan, which impresses me as the same Japanese, is the best work. This is a work by a 6 year old child from Japan (at least living in Japan).

Congratulations, Saya-chan! (I'm saying it like an aunt in my neighborhood, but I don't know ... ^^).

Technology category

This is a work by a 13-year-old child from China.

Fantasy category

In Fantasie, a French 16-year-old child's work with a turtle motif.

Fun category

This is the work of an 11 year old child from Hungary. pretty!

The above are the professionally rendered images of the designs selected as the best works in each category.

Next, I would like to see the works of children who were also selected for the award.

Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said:

"On behalf of me and all of Rolls-Royce, I would like to thank the young designers who participated in the contest for their wonderful thoughts, efforts and creativity. They are full of great talent and will be the future car designers from this applicant. I wouldn't be surprised if someone came out. I worked at Rolls-Royce ^^ "

"What I learned in this competition is that we have the power of imagination to create great things, no matter how difficult the situation. We can fly as much as we can. Participate. I hope that the children will know this and gain some positive experience from the current pandemic experience of Corona. "

... apparently ...

However, I think it's very nice that not only the work is selected, but also the professionals render the design image of the work in this way.

And hmm, I'm really happy that the work from Japan was also selected ^^

One last time. Congratulations to Saya! !!
