Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package sold for $6.05 million
Just the other day, I wrote about how amazing it was that a Porsche 918 Spyder was sold for $3.2 million (about 500 million yen), but now there's news of another 918 Spyder that has already surpassed that price.
Apparently it was sold at auction earlier this year, and the mileage at the time of listing was approximately 1,350 km.

This is a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder with the Weissach package, with the body color being PTS Pure Orange, the roof, mirrors and rear wing being carbon fiber, and the wheels being lightweight magnesium to reduce weight.
When this car was sold in 2014, it was priced at approximately $964,875 (approximately 150 million yen).

The winning bid at this auction was an astonishing $6.05 million (approximately 950 million yen).
Wow. That's amazing. Of course, this price is the highest ever for a 918 Spyder.
The winning bidder for this car was former racing driver and NSACAR team owner Rick Hendrick.

He owns a collection of over 300 cars, which are stored in a 5,400-square-meter heritage center in Concord, North Carolina.
By the way, more than 120 of his collection are rare or one-of-a-kind Corvettes, and the collection began with a 1963 Corvette that he purchased in 1971.

Since then, he has purchased many rare and expensive Corvettes, and his collection is now said to be worth tens of millions of dollars. Unofficial reports suggest it may be worth closer to $35 million.

Well, the 918 Spyder, which is priced at over 900 million yen, is amazing, but Rick is also amazing ^^
