Does this kind of thing happen too?
This is a story from the United States, but the electric Macan has been recalled due to a software problem in the headlight control unit of the vehicle.
The vehicles covered by the scheme are those produced at the Leipzig plant between March 15 and November 4, 2024 (MY24-25).
The problem appears to be with the light emitted when the high beams are on, and it's alleged that Porsche made a mistake in the software of the headlight control unit.
What this means is that the headlight control unit for the EV Macan for the US market has been changed to one for the European market.
So does that mean high beams are brighter in Europe than in the US? So there are differences in regulations even in places like that. I didn't know that.
The recall in the US will affect 2,941 Macan Electric vehicles.
