Good performance except Panamera
Regarding the figures for Porsche in North America, I took a look at the sales volume announced in the first quarter of 2021.
How to write a press release when the number of units sold this time is announced
"In 2021, 718 models, 911, Cayenne, Macan, Taycan will start well"
Well, to put it the other way around, "only Panamera was out of order" ...?
Well, anyway, the total number of Porsche sold in the United States from January to March 2021 was 17,368 units, an increase of 44.8% in the same period of the previous year. It is amazing.
911 increased 7.4%, 718 tripled
In the first quarter, Porsche 911 shipments increased by 7.4% from the previous year, and the total shipment of 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman is more than tripled from the previous year.
Cayenne and Macan are also doing very well, and Taycan also recorded the highest sales in one quarter since its launch. This seems to be due to the strong sales of the rear-wheel drive Taycan model.
... and I haven't touched Panamera after all. Good luck, Panamera!
Since Panamera is a model that seems to be the most delicate in the future standing position (Is it going to be full EV? If it is EV, Porsche says that it will be completely different from Taycan, but actually I'm still not sure how it will be different? Or? Or?), Everyone may be "waiting" for Panamera now.
Sales of US Porsche certified used cars are also strong
The total number of Porsche-certified used cars sold in the US in the first quarter was 7,107, which is also an increase of 22% from the previous year.
The following are the US Porsche sales volume from January to March 2021 and the US Porsche sales volume from January to March 2020.
Each model is a number that includes all grade types of that model:
model | January-March 2020 | January-March 2021 |
911 | 2,590 | 2,782 |
718 | 400 | 1,506 |
Taycan | 221 | 2,008 |
Panamera | 1,184 | 451 |
Cayenne | 3,822 | 4,230 |
Macan | 3,777 | 6,391 |
total | 11,994 | 17,368 |
Certainly, the 718 model last year had 400 units, but this year it was 1,506 units, which is amazing, and Panamera's last year was 1,184 units, but this year it is 451 units.
