Head to Chita Bamboo Forest in a Porsche 911 GT3

Aichi Prefecture's Chita Peninsula: A day trip from Tokyo

Once again, he suddenly embarks on a reckless plan.

I suddenly realized, "Oh, maybe there are no plans for tomorrow?", so in the evening my husband and I suddenly said, "Oh, then how about we go there tomorrow?" and planned a drive for the next day.

As for where we're going... that's a surprise for another time ^^

First of all, we suddenly decided to plan it in the evening and left Tokyo at 3:30am the next morning. It was so sudden.

But I think what's really great about my husband and I is that we share the same sense of "Oh, we have free time tomorrow, right? Let's go then?" and we can act quickly. I'm grateful.

It was pitch black when we set off. We drove along the Shin-Tomei Expressway.

I started running in the morning and arrived near my destination just in time for the sunrise.

This is the view from the parking lot of the convenience store I stopped at at the time, and I was moved by the incredibly beautiful sunrise.

So, where did we first arrive after the convenience store? Well, it was the Chita Bamboo Forest in Chita, Aichi Prefecture.

I had been planning to go there for a while, saying "Next time I have time," but my original destination was a different place in Chita. However, I happened to have some free time, so I thought "Okay, let's go (to my original destination) tomorrow!" And then, just by pure coincidence, I saw on social media an acquaintance of mine taking photos in the bamboo forest in Chita.

So, I quickly decided to make a detour and say, "If I go to Chita tomorrow, I'd like to stop by this bamboo forest first!"

I'm so grateful for this accidental social media post ^^

"Chita Bamboo Forest"Hereis located.

I was able to get close to it without any problems, but when I actually entered the bamboo forest, I was confused and thought, "Huh, do I enter from here?"

So, I asked my husband to take over driving near the entrance and I took the photos from the passenger seat.

This is it↓, and you'll have to enter a very narrow path like this.

However, it is not prohibited to enter by motorcycle or car, so there is no problem if you do.

As soon as you walk along the narrow path, you will come across a bamboo forest. Amazing.

Yes, and I also wanted to take a photo of my car in the bamboo forest.

I'm so touched and happy.

I've been excited since the morning.

By the way, this bamboo forest is a short path of only about 100 meters, but passing through is prohibited.

Instead, there are designated points where you are told to make a U-turn, so you will have to make a perfect U-turn there to return.

*The side that you cannot pass through is currently a construction site, so if your navigation system guides you to a place that looks like a construction site, that is not the direction to go. The correct entrance is near the parking lot for "Betty's House Asahi Park."

After taking photos in the bamboo forest, we made a U-turn at the U-turn point and took photos from a different direction.

We arrived here around 7am, so there was no one else passing by on this road, and we were able to take photos without any rushing.

Finally, here is the bamboo in the photo above, with the color and contrast increased (this is not processed by AI, but rather just the saturation and contrast increased). Just for my own satisfaction (lol).

To POR, a cafe in Handa

After enjoying the bamboo forest in Chita, we had some time before our next destination, so we headed to Handa City.

I had heard before that there was a place called "Cafe POR" where Porsche enthusiasts gather, so even though I knew it was closed (or before opening time) that day, I decided to stop by anyway.

But.

Hmm? It's closed???

Although the sign directing people to POR's parking lot was still up, the POR Cafe sign was no longer there in the closed store, and there were only advertisements for carbonated water.

*It seems to belong to the company next door.

Maybe it has already closed down?

It would be such a shame if, while I was thinking about visiting, it disappeared without me even realizing it. I wish I had acted sooner.

*I am writing this based on my own speculations about the situation at the time, and I know nothing about it, so I apologize if the store is still open. If so, I will update the content as soon as I find out.

After passing by Cafe POR, we still had some time, so we had breakfast at the nearby cafe, Fougas.

Actually, it was my first time to eat "morning" in Aichi Prefecture, where it originated, so I was extremely happy to be able to enjoy an Aichi morning meal surrounded by Aichi residents.

However, I'm sure that no one in the store at the time would have guessed that we had come from Tokyo at 7:30, the store's opening time.

No, what do you mean we left Tokyo and had breakfast in Aichi Prefecture at 7:30 in the morning (lol)?

The breakfast here was delicious with plenty of butter on the bread.

I was amazed that this set, which includes bread (with lots of butter), a boiled egg, salad, and yogurt, only costs 500 yen (including tax), the cost of a coffee.

Furthermore, elderly people around us were having friendly and heartwarming conversations, saying things like, "I've been going to the hospital since the beginning of the year," "Me too!" and "I hope we can meet here again like this at the beginning of the year next year." We also saw families enjoying breakfast together, and regulars having in-depth conversations with the staff, creating a very homey and wonderful time.

I think that Aichi Prefecture's morning meals are not just good value for money, but also the people who gather there, the space, and the time are truly wonderful.

Now, we finally head to the original destination of our visit to Chita.

The sun was rising and it was a very pleasant day by the sea.

continue ~.
