Ohhhh. Here it comes, here it comes.
I had heard rumors about this model's release and had been waiting for its announcement for a long time, but it's finally here.
The new Porsche 911 Carrera T, type 992.2, will be announced on October 29, 2024.
What's more, not only is it a 6-speed manual, but this time it is also available in both coupe and convertible form, making this the ultimate paradise.
Oh, sorry. I love Carrera T so much that I'm getting all excited about it (lol).
So let's take a look at what was announced:
- The Porsche 911 Carrera T is a model that focuses on only the essentials
- With a focus on agility, lightweight construction, an emotive soundscape and a six-speed transmission, this is the purist's ideal Carrera.
- Customized packaging for the Carrera T offers stylish individuality
- For the first time, a cabriolet will also be available as the Carrera T.
- With lightweight windows, reduced insulation, a six-speed manual transmission and full bucket seats, the new 911 Carrera T weighs just 1,478 kg in its lightest configuration.
- More than 40kg lighter than the current 911 Carrera
- The "T" in Carrera T stands for "Touring," a name that dates back to 1968 when the 911 T was approved as a touring car.
- The first 911 T was produced in 1973
- Since 2017, the 911 Carrera T has been relaunched and is positioned between the Carrera and Carrera S.

- Sports exhaust system is also standard equipment.
Chassis and tuning: Developed specifically for the Carrera T
- For the first time, Porsche offers rear-axle steering as standard in combination with a more direct steering ratio on the front axle, significantly optimizing handling

- PASM adaptive sports suspension lowered by 10 mm is also standard equipment.
