Taycan gets major update, new version improves in almost every area
The new Taycan, which we had been waiting for since it was said that it would be announced within a few days, was finally announced on February 7, 2024~^^
Porsche says that it has undergone a large-scale update, and the performance has improved over the current model in almost all areas.
What's so great about the new Taycan?
- Higher → Charging performance increases by 50kW to 320kW. Energy regeneration increases to 400kW when driving at high speeds
- Faster → 0-100km/h acceleration time reduced by 0.6 seconds, Taycan Turbo S's 0-100km/h time is just 2.4 seconds
- Farther → Cruising range is up to 678km (WLTP), which has been increased by 35%. All versions of Taycan can now be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.

- With the Sport Chrono Package's new push-to-pass feature, up to 70kW of boost is available for 10 seconds, depending on the model, at the touch of a button (*with Performance Battery Plus). (Cannot be used with 2WD models of Taycan, Taycan Sport Turismo, and Taycan 4 Cross Turismo)
- Acceleration improvements are primarily due to increased system output:
- The base Taycan has a 60kW improvement over the previous model.
- Launch control adds an additional 140kW to the Taycan Turbo S compared to before.
- This increases the system output of the top model to 700kW/952PS
Cruising range improved by more than 35% compared to the previous model
- Depending on body type and engine, WLTP range increases by 175km (35%) to up to 678km
- Not only has the number of charging times been reduced during long distance driving, but the charging speed has also been improved.
- The 800 volt DC charging station can charge up to 320kW (50kW more than before), which means it can maintain a charging capacity of over 300kW for up to 5 minutes, allowing for very high charging capacity even at low temperatures much faster. means

- The first generation Taycan takes 37 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% at a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, while the improved Taycan takes 18 minutes under the same conditions.

- New Porsche Active Ride suspension can be equipped as an option on the 4WD version

- Porsche Active Ride Suspension distributes the load on the wheels in a well-balanced manner for perfect connection to the road.
