New Cayenne Porsche 911 Dakar
Going further, the new Cayenne Cayenne Coupe and the Porsche 911 Dakar were on display.
On this day, I think there was an unveiling at the Japan premiere of these vehicles before we arrived, but when we arrived, the unveiling had already finished, so it was suddenly on display. I was able to see
An actual Dakar that I met for the first time.
The actual car is cooler than the photo!
I thought this Roughroads color would be more flashy, but when I saw the actual car, I didn't feel like "Wow, this is too flashy to drive!"
However, I don't feel flashy because I'm watching it at an event, but if I'm in my garage, it's flashy after all ^^
On the next day, June 4th, I was able to see the Japan premiere of Dakar, so I would like to talk about that later.
One of the things I noticed because I was able to walk around PEC Tokyo was that most of the "green grass" I saw on the road was clover.
You can even get a closer look at this thing (what is it called?) on the side of the handling truck.
Inclination measurement of PEC Tokyo handling truck
When walking in the track, I also notice that there are more elevation differences than I imagined. I was like, "Heh, how is it going down like this?"
So, when that happens, you're worried about it, aren't you?
Yeah, I'll measure
There is no other chance to measure the slope of the PEC Tokyo track (no need to).
This is the last part, around the slope where you go down towards the building.
picture? want to know more?
So this is the carousel.
I thought that the slope of the black and white part would be amazing, so I measured it and it was 38.6%.
Yes yes, you know!
The next thing that comes to mind is the corkscrew, right? Of course, check here too.
Laguna Seca's corkscrew is said to have a height difference of 15 meters, but PEC Tokyo's height difference should be a little looser.
Even so, I thought that the slope was quite steep, but in reality it is not a steep slope, but rather an S-shaped slope. The slope in one place was not as much as I expected.
…what are you doing? It's already completely unrelated to the Porsche Festival (laughs).
I would like to return the story to the Porsche Festival.
Drift and off-road experiences
People who participated in the Porsche Festival or Porsche Garage were able to participate in either the "Drift Experience" or the "Off-Road Experience" once (free).
The drift experience is to ride in the passenger seat with the instructor driving and drifting in the drift circle.
The car was spinning all the time. Maybe it was because the instructor was driving, but it seems that two cars were going out to the drift circle at once.
For the off-road experience, this was also a test drive of the Cayenne driven by the instructor, and the participants were able to ride the car at the same time with a total of 3 people, "passenger seat, rear seat x 2 people".
It was cute that the person in charge had such a lottery for when the three participants who ride the Cayenne together wanted to "ride in the passenger seat" (laughs).
This time, I had this off-road experience.
About 250 people already had an off-road experience as of 17:00 on June 3, about Cayenne with an off-road package.
It is said that if the top of the tire is raised to MAX, it will rise to about two men's fists.
There are three steep slopes built in the off-road area of PEC Tokyo, each with an inclination of 28 degrees, 32 degrees, and 38 degrees. 28 degrees" slope was used.
When I get off the road, the road in front of me is so steep that I can't see it from inside the car. feel.
When I look at the side, the car body is quite slanted and I think that 28 degrees is equivalent, but it is amazing that the car is actually controlling almost automatically even when going down this slope.
That is "Porsche Hill Control" called PHC.

By the way, this off-road experience at Cayenne is a program that normally costs 5,000 yen per person, so this time it may have been more simplified for the event, but let me experience it for free. It was a pleasure to receive it ^ ^
I had a lot of fun talking with many people, got food, and experienced off-roading, so I was satisfied for the day, so I went home.
The main participation date for me is the Porsche garage on June 4th the next day, so I will be back in a dozen hours later ^ ^
By the way, there was a rule that those who participated in the Porsche garage and parked the vehicle in PEC Tokyo had to carry in and out the car within a predetermined time. On June 3rd, due to the heavy rain, it was said that "It's okay if you can't come on time." I think) those who wished were able to return even on the way.
