This article is a continuation of the previous article. If you haven't seen it yet, please go ahead from here ^^→ I participated in the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo Women's Only Program
Porsche Taycan Demonstration Lap
After completing the 90-minute one-on-one driving program with the instructor, when I returned to the building, there were multiple cards prepared, and I was asked to draw one.
When I looked it up, there was the words "Woman Only Program Group ②".
All the programs after this will be actions in each group assigned by the number written on this card.
I am in group 2. There were 9 participants on this day because 1 person was absent, so there were 3 groups of 3 people each.
First of all, each group will experience the Taikan demonstration lap, which is the next program content.
Participants ride in the passenger seat and the back seat of the 4WD Taycan Turbo driven by the instructor.
In the first lap, from the basic explanation about Taikan, various explanations such as "It's called a turbo (because it's an electric car) but it doesn't actually have a turbo" or "The battery is at the bottom so it's well balanced" The So-called normal run while doing it.
And the second lap was full throttle driving (although it's not a circuit, so I drove as fast as I could on the PEC Tokyo course... but it was pretty fast~^^).
By the way, when I ran the Taikan in PEC Tokyo's 90-minute driving program, of course it depends on the content of the 90-minute run, but when I asked how much power it would use, based on the situation of the past driving program, it was not. It was said that the power consumption would be about 20%.
It's not as bad as I thought. Well, if you think that the cruising range is about 400 km even if the drive mode is set to sports or sports plus, that's about it (*The officially announced cruising range is 492 km in GTS WLTC mode).
Two shots of the two cars (GT3 & Taycan Turbo) that I rode on this day ^^ ↓
follow me to brunch
After experiencing Taikan (the promised phrase (laughs)), it was brunch time at the restaurant "The 906" in PEC Tokyo.
This branch will also be in the form of a table for each group decided earlier.
The good thing about this grouping system is that even if you are drowsy, it automatically divides you into a small group of 3 people, so even if you are not good at talking to people you don't know, you can naturally have a conversation. I thought I would be able to get along with him.
When you're wondering whether or not to participate in a women-only program, I think there are probably many people who think, "I'm not good at participating alone."
If you just want to have lunch somewhere, you may be able to casually invite your friends to go with you.
But maybe, unless you are generally related to the car industry, "Hey, do you want to go to the Porsche program together?" I don't think so.
Furthermore, even if there is a friend who is a little interested and says "Is it a program that can drive a Porsche? Then why don't you go?"Well, the participation fee is at least 50,000 yen? ?”, I think that unless you are interested in Porsche so far, you will not go out with me (Isn’t that so?).
That's why I think that some people are hesitant to participate because they feel the hurdles that ``(I am) interested in Porsche but there is no one to go with me'' and ``I have to go alone''.
But, I was also a little worried at first, but when I went this time, I realized that it was a total effort.
After all, everyone who is participating is "participating alone" in the same way. is.
In addition, since they divide the group into small groups, it becomes a situation where it is easy to talk with people around you naturally. Enjoy and become friends.
When it was over, it was such a fun time that I thought, "I wish I could have talked with you more."
Because if you think about it, each of them has a common feeling that they are "interested in Porsche / I like Porsche", so it's natural that there is a sense of camaraderie at the base ^ ^
Porsche EV course and team building
Well, after having brunch, I moved from the restaurant to the meeting room in the back.
The next program will be an EV course and a team-building workshop, which will be held in this meeting room.
Desserts were prepared at the seats in this meeting room, so the EV course and team building were enjoyed while eating desserts.
Coffee and tea are also self-service. It is exhaustive ^ ^
First of all, Porsche Japan, who is mainly involved in the installation of chargers, gave a presentation on Porsche's electric vehicles (here, mainly Taikan).
How long have electric cars been around? Starting with the history of Porsche, about the structure of the full electric vehicle Taikan, the position where the battery is installed, and its charging method (type).
He explained the difference between normal charging and quick charging in an easy-to-understand manner.
He also showed me a list of charging connector shapes and types (standards), so I had learned about CHAdeMO before, but I also learned about other world's fast charging standards and AC charging standard names. I didn't understand it, so it was fun to learn a lot ^ ^
Team building workshop "Let's go to Kyoto by Taikan! 』
Then came team building.
It was a workshop in which each group performed a given task, and the title was "Let's go to Kyoto by Taikan! ’.
Each group had large sheets of paper and pencils on each table.
I wondered what I was going to do, but the content was to create a travel plan from PEC Tokyo to Kyoto with Taikan.
*This time, when I asked if it would be okay to write the contents of this workshop on my blog, it seems that the contents of future workshops will change, so I have received permission to write it ^ ^ ^
To be honest, at first I thought, "What? Trip plan? What are you going to do?"
Because there are quite a lot of conditions.
- It can run 400 km when fully charged.
- Charge amount at start is 50%
- PEC Tokyo starts at 8:00, arriving at the Westin Miyako Hotel in Kyoto by 20:00
- Lunch and at least 2 sightseeing stops along the way
- The conditions for charging by the charger are as follows:
- Public quick charger Charges for 100 kilometers in 30 minutes
- Porsche's quick charger charging for 200 kilometers in 20 minutes
- Porsche's normal charger Charges for 32 kilometers in 1 hour
Based on these, it is a workshop to "make an attractive travel plan". The paper on the table was for writing down the details of the travel plan.
No, this is going to be very difficult, isn't it? ?
At first, I thought, "What? What are you talking about? Isn't it a little difficult?" The three of us started creating an uncertain Kyoto travel plan.
First, I checked "How many kilometers and how long does it take if I go directly from PEC Tokyo to the Westin Hotel in Kyoto?" Consider where you want to stop on the way to.
Of course, when consideringporsche charging mapI opened the door and thought about when and where to charge.
At first, I started by fumbling, but when I started to check the position of the Porsche charger and seriously think about the mileage so far, my mind became activated and said, "Do you want to do this? Ideas like "Ah, then why don't we come here?"
All three are pretty serious (laughs).
Without wasting every second, two people use their smartphones to check distances, positional relationships, and charging stations, while one person writes a plan down on paper. perfect teamwork
Basically, as someone who always loves "playing seriously", a group of three people will calculate the distance quite seriously, think about various plans, and plan to run the Taikan from PEC Tokyo to Kyoto while leaving the remaining charge. was a lot of fun to put up.
Everyone in each group was seriously working on it (although, of course, having fun!) It was a very good atmosphere.
At the end, each group presented their plans.
Our group aimed to "enjoy sports driving with Taikan" and tried to make it a trip to enjoy the wonderful performance of Taikan.
The rough plan is ``Go straight from PEC Tokyo to Fuji Speedway → Enjoy 30 minutes of sports driving → Lunch (charge) at Fujiya Hotel → Go to Suzuka Circuit → Enjoy 30 minutes of sports driving → Play at Suzuka's amusement park ( Charge) → Arrive in Kyoto”.
We carefully calculated the charging status and mileage (including consumption at the circuit) in these plans, and managed to make it feasible.
However, when we finally arrived at the Westin Hotel in Kyoto, the remaining cruising range would be 3 kilometers, which was too scary in reality to be implemented (laughs), but it was possible on paper.
As a result of the vote, our group got the first prize, and we even got a prize (?)^^
I received a Taycan metal car. happy! It was a great memory.
With the end of this workshop, the women-only program will end.
It really was a few hours. When I finished the workshop, I felt like I had done it and it was a lot of fun, and it was the first time I had checked the location of the Porsche charging station so seriously. It was time.
I feel like I've been hit by Porsche's Taikan brainwashing plan ^^ But it's also true that I'm attached to Taikan. "Wow, can you go from here to this place without charging?"
From the window of the meeting room where the workshop was held, I could see the Porsches of PEC Tokyo (↑The Porsches in the photo above) "After all, the Porsches of PEC Tokyo are flashy, aren't they?" Looking at the public parking lot next door...
The cars of the participants on this day were also flashy without losing (lol) ↓
There is a woman who has driven a Lamborghini in the foreground, a Subaru race car spec in the middle, and a non-Porsche.
PEC Tokyo women-only program is advantageous
This time, I was able to participate in the women-only program of PEC Tokyo, and what I thought was "what a great program".
I'm sorry for all men because it's only for women ^ ^
If you are a woman and are thinking of applying for a driving experience at PEC Tokyo, this women-only program is overwhelmingly more profitable!
I've written a lot, but it's usually the same price as the 90-minute drive experience program alone:
- You can get a pink pig neck strap
- First overall explanation by the instructor (briefing)
- A normal 90-minute drive experience (of course, normally with an instructor)
- Taycan demonstration lap experience
- Brunch at the restaurant (with dessert) or afternoon tea
- EV course
- You can make friends through the workshop & you might get prizes
- Throughout the day, professional photographers are taking pictures in various places, and you can get the pictures later.
- I can also talk to female motor journalists such as Tomoko Fujioka.
- You can get a souvenir (Baumkuchen and a metal Porsche postcard this time)
The content will follow. It's really too good.
Of course, if you only want to experience a 90-minute drive without interacting with other people at all, I think it would be better to apply for the normal driving experience only.
However, if you think that it is okay to interact with other people, this women-only program is really recommended ^ ^
When I said goodbye to everyone and left the PEC Tokyo facility, it was already pitch black.
The program, which started at noon, ended around 17:00. Even so, it was a fun time that passed so quickly that I still wanted to play.
costco gas station cheap
Oh yeah, by the time I got home, the closure of the Aqualine was lifted and I was able to pass. it was good.
Still, around 5pm is when the Aqualine is usually congested, so I decided to stop by Costco Kisarazu before heading home. I wonder if the traffic congestion tends to be resolved if the time is delayed even a little (because it is always the case).
On a different note, Costco Kisarazu also has a Costco gas station.
Not only is this gas station located in Chiba Prefecture, but it is also operated by Costco. Anyway, the gas is cheap! !
Therefore, I didn't need to refuel yet, but I put it in and went home ^ ^
After all, the gasoline price near my house on this day is surely 163 yen even for regular? ? However, here it is 159 yen at high octane! too cheap.
When I saw the price, I became uneasy, so it was so cheap that I reconfirmed, "Am I really paying for high-octane?"
If you are going to PEC Tokyo and are a Costco member, we recommend that you refuel at Costco Kisarazu on your way home.
It was a thrilling Porsche Experience Center Tokyo Women's Only Program that started with the suspension of the Aqualine, but when it ended, everything went smoothly and I was able to spend a very enjoyable time with everyone.
For me, it was the best day to experience the new Porsche 911 GT3 for the first time.
Even those who drove Porsche for the first time on this day were impressed by the wonderfulness of Porsche's performance, and there were people who said "Someday Porsche". It made me very happy.
From now on, I hope that PEC Tokyo will be used by many people and the number of people who are interested in Porsche will increase. But it happens because I like it).
Thank you to everyone at Porsche Japan, who was planning to operate the women-only program, instructors, photographers, Mr. Fujishima, PEC Tokyo staff, and everyone who had a great time together. Thank you!
