First Porsche-designed apartment in Asia to be built in Bangkok

Posted: Posted:

Porsche Design Tower by Porsche Design and Ananda Development

Porsche Design has previously developed luxury real estate in Miami, USA, and Stuttgart, Germany, and this property is the third Porsche Design property in the world and the first in Asia.

The company collaborated with Ananda Development, a major Thai real estate developer, to build the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok.

This is a luxury apartment building located at one of the most prestigious addresses in the Thai capital (Sukhumvit 38).

It features 22 duplex and quadplex "Sky Villas" ranging in size from 525 to 1,135 square meters, with average prices ranging from $15 million (approximately 2.16 billion yen) to a maximum of $40 million (approximately 5.78 billion yen).

It's quite tall!

That said, there are quite a few apartments in this price range around the world, so I'm still surprised that it's located in Bangkok, Thailand, but it's still amazing.

Construction hasn't started yet, but it is expected to start next year and be completed by the end of 2028.

According to Porsche, Southeast Asia is becoming an increasingly important region for the company, and the company is excited to be able to build these luxury apartments in Bangkok, which is part of the region.

The fact that Porsche is turning its attention to Asia is confirmed by the world premiere of the new electric Macan in Singapore in January this year.

This property is based on FA Porsche's design philosophy of "optimizing function while minimizing form without compromise."

Architectural highlights and unique features

The distinctive feature of Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the "integration of passion spaces."

This appears to be a reference to the ultimate luxury garage for residents to store their carefully selected car collections.

It is said to be a special space that can be fully customised to suit individual preferences, offering residents a private sanctuary... a private garage set in the heart of the exclusive neighbourhood, which will function not only as a social gathering place and special events, but also as a place to enjoy a variety of hobbies.

"The Loop," a spiral vehicular access ramp in the center of the building, leads directly to the Passion Space.

The skyscraper's façade achieves maximum functionality by allowing spaces to be transformed at the flip of a switch. Inspired by the Porsche 911 Targa's roof mechanism, Kinetic Move, and its hybrid usability, the façade features a fully automated terrace door system, allowing residents to seamlessly blend outdoor and indoor living.

Another feature is the exposed base structure called the "X frame."

The shape is said to be inspired by the Porsche Mission R concept car and its exoskeleton design.

The 95-metre-tall, 21-storey tower will be topped by 'The Crown', a light signature inspired by Porsche's iconic lighting design and set to become a landmark on Bangkok's skyline.

Inside, premium materials and fine furnishings enhance the exquisite living experience while the specially designed technology-inspired luxury kitchen features hands-free operating motorized drawers and cabinet doors, customized appliances, premium durable wooden kitchen façade and more.

The mansion also comes equipped with a 25-metre swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, social lounge and business lounge.

Not many details are available yet, but if you're interested, here's the official website for the property:pdtowerbangkok.com.
