Even classic Porsche (so-called old generation Porsche) enables reception of digital radio stations, cooperation with Apple CarPlay, media playback via SD card and Bluetooth, etc.

This time, in Japan, the following two types of products can be purchased at Porsche Centers and Porsche Classic Partner Stores nationwide from September 2021.

• Porsche Classic Communication Management System (PCCM)
• Porsche Classic Communication Management System Plus (PCCM Plus)

Now even those who are in Japan can easily consider the introduction of this system ^ ^

Details of these PCCMs and PCCM Plus sold in Japan are as follows:

PCCM, PCCM Plus compatible vehicle

• PCCM is a 3.5-inch display, compatible with all 911 models from F model to 993 model and transaxle vehicles
• PCCM Plus is a 7-inch display, compatible with 996 models (911) and 986 models (Boxster)
• Unfortunately it is not compatible with Porsche 356 and Carrera GT

Japanese version PCCM, PCCM Plus Product overview

• Equipped with high-resolution touch screen and Apple CarPlay (PCCM Plus also supports Google's Android Auto)
• In the Japanese version sold in Japan, the radio band is also set to the Japanese range.
• The design is stylish and blends perfectly into the classic Porsche interior
• The 3.5-inch (PCCM) and 7-inch (PCCM Plus) displays can be operated with a touch screen, as well as buttons and rotary pushbutton controls.
• High resolution touch screen display is optimized for easy purpose selection
• Each product comes with an external media box that provides an interface for iPhone, USB and AUX
• Phone features, including access to contacts, are also available via Bluetooth
• Original sound system combined with device
• Navigation features available from the Apple CarPlay app

The selling prices of these two products in the Japanese version are as follows:

Porsche Classic Communication Management System (PCCM)
For 911F-993, 924, 944, 968, 928
Suggested retail price (tax included) ￥ 213,400

Porsche Classic Communication Management System (PCCM Plus)
For 996, 986
Suggested retail price (tax included) ¥ 239,800

Some people can enjoy the classic Porsche in its original state, while others can enjoy the classic Porsche more conveniently and comfortably by changing only the PCM part to the latest one.

Even for models that have been on the market for decades, I think Porsche is very nice because it still adds these new options.

And what is the most amazing thing is that many classic Porsche are still running in active duty.
