Cayenne EV and Cayenne Turbo EV have world premieres

The new fully electric Cayenne Electric and the new Cayenne Turbo Electric had their world premiere on November 19, 2025, and pre-orders began in Japan the following day, November 20.

The fully electrified Cayenne EV combines Porsche DNA with pioneering technology, with specifications including a maximum output of 850kW (1,156PS), acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 2.5 seconds, a maximum charging power of 400kW, and a maximum range of 642km.

It is the most powerful Porsche production car ever made, yet is also versatile, dynamic on the road, confident off-road and comfortable for long journeys.

The Cayenne, which had its world premiere in September 2002, is said to be the first model in which Porsche transferred its sports car brand tradition to an entirely new market segment. Now, after 23 years, it has finally become fully electric.

So let's take a look at what was announced:

Super sports car performance

The Cayenne Electric (hereinafter referred to as Cayenne EV) and Cayenne Turbo Electric (hereinafter referred to as Cayenne Turbo EV) are both 4WD and equipped with electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM).

The Cayenne Turbo EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 260 km/h.
- With launch control activated, a newly developed drive system generates a maximum power output of 850 kW (1,156 PS) and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm.
Turbo models feature direct oil cooling of the rear axle electric motor, ensuring high continuous power output and efficiency.
- This is an innovation that originated in motorsports

In normal driving mode, a maximum output of 630 kW (857 PS) is available.
The Push-to-Pass function allows an additional 130 kW (176 PS) to be activated for 10 seconds at the touch of a button.
The entry-level Cayenne EV model produces a maximum output of 300 kW (408 PS) in normal operation, and 325 kW (442 PS) with launch control, a maximum torque of 835 Nm, an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h of 4.8 seconds, and a top speed of 230 km/h.

Formula E-level regeneration

The new Cayenne's energy recovery achieves a maximum regenerative output of 600 kW, the same level as Formula E.
In everyday life, the electric motor alone can handle approximately 971 TP1T of braking, with little need for mechanical friction brake intervention.
The Cayenne Turbo EV also comes with the optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).

Much of the new Cayenne's versatility comes from its chassis
Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard on both models
Turbo models also come equipped with a Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) limited-slip rear differential.

Both models can be equipped with rear-axle steering, which steers the rear wheels by up to 5 degrees.
Porsche Active Ride is also available for the first time in a flagship model: almost perfect compensation of body movements ensures outstanding stability, dynamics and comfort.

Revolutionary charging convenience: fast, powerful, wireless

At the heart of the new Cayenne is a newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery with optimal thermal management thanks to double-sided cooling.
As a result, the range (WLTP combined) is up to 642 km for the Cayenne EV and up to 623 km for the Cayenne Turbo EV.
800V technology allows for 390kW DC charging, and up to 400kW under certain conditions.

The SoC (state of charge) can be increased from 101 TP1T to 801 TP1T within 16 minutes, and within 10 minutes, the energy required for a driving range of 325 km (Cayenne EV) / 315 km (Cayenne Turbo EV) can be added.
The most important factor in the development of the new Cayenne was powerful charging performance

The new Cayenne is also the first Porsche to offer optional inductive charging with charging speeds of up to 11 kW.
Wireless charging simply requires the user to park on the floor plate, after which charging begins automatically.

New exterior design: Advanced and aerodynamic

The new Cayenne combines the characteristic proportions of the Porsche brand with a clearly developed design language

The highlight is the low bonnet with slim matrix LED headlights
- This emphasizes the width of the vehicle and integrates all lighting functions into one module

The powerfully contoured fenders are a familiar design element from other Porsches, as is the iconic flyline that represents the gently sloping roofline.
The side view is characterized by the frameless doors and the striking recesses on the door surfaces.
The three-dimensional side skirts are painted in Volcanic Gray Metallic, while the Cayenne Turbo EV is painted in high-gloss black.
The two-tone concept emphasizes the car's sporty proportions, while model-specific wheel arch trims highlight its off-road characteristics.

Striking details at the rear, such as a light strip with a distinctive 3D look and animated graphics, and an illuminated Porsche logo, enhance the modern design language.
The Cayenne Turbo EV features numerous contrasting elements in its exclusive Turbo Night color.
- This includes the Porsche Crest, light-alloy wheel surfaces and side window trims.
- Subtle Turbo Night accents highlight the light strip and Porsche logo

Off-road package meets special requirements regarding approach angle and robustness
The revised front section geometry helps you ride safely on rough unpaved roads, particularly steep uphill and downhill slopes, and difficult terrain.

With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the new Cayenne is one of the most aerodynamically efficient vehicles in its class, delivering benefits in terms of range and energy consumption.
The Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) system precisely adapts the car's aerodynamics to the driving situation and speed, increasing downforce along with efficient control strategies, contributing to the driving dynamics expected from the Porsche brand.

Active aerodynamic elements include movable cooling air flaps in the nose, an adaptive roof spoiler and innovative active aero blades behind the turbo.
Extended lateral tear-off edges improve flow characteristics, resulting in increased range, especially at high speeds
Other aerodynamic features include air curtains on the front body, a nearly completely sealed underbody, special aero wheels, and a rear diffuser.

A new level of practicality, comfort and individuality

The Cayenne EV is 55mm longer than the internal combustion engine model, with a total length of 4,985mm, a total width of 1,980mm and a total height of 1,674mm.
The biggest difference is in the wheelbase (3,023 mm), which has been extended by nearly 13 cm, providing more legroom in the rear seats than ever before, allowing rear seat passengers to enjoy a more comfortable ride.

The rear seats are electrically adjustable as standard, allowing for flexible adjustment from comfort position to cargo position.
Luggage compartment capacity ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres, with an additional 90 litre front luggage compartment.

The convenience of the new Cayenne EV is also underscored by its towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes, depending on equipment.

The newly introduced Mood Mode transforms the interior into an experiential space tailored to your mood and situation.
Depending on the program selected, the seat position, lighting mood, air conditioning, sound profile and display appearance change.

The sliding panoramic roof with variable light control via electrically switchable LCD foils creates a sense of openness
Another highlight is the new panel heater, which not only warms the seats but also large contact surfaces such as armrests and door panels.

Enhanced ambient lighting, including communication lights (animated light strips that welcome passengers as they enter the car and visualize various vehicle states, such as the charging process)
Never before has a Cayenne been as comprehensively and individually customisable as the new Cayenne EV.
Choose from 13 standard colors, nine 20- to 22-inch wheel designs, 12 interior combinations, and up to five interior and accent packages.

With the expanded exterior color range from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Paint to Sample (PTS) and the Sonderwunsch program, customers can customize their Cayenne to their personal preferences, from a wider range of options to completely one-off models.

Porsche Design, a Swiss watchmaker under Porsche, is expanding its custom-made watch program to SUV models.
Cayenne owners can now order timepieces that are meticulously tailored to their vehicles

Porsche Driver Experience: Porsche's largest display area

In the field of digitalization, the new Cayenne takes the driving experience to a new level
Flow display at the heart of the newly developed Porsche Driver Experience
- It is an elegantly curved OLED panel that blends seamlessly into the center console, clearly separating the display and control areas.

Additionally, a 14.25-inch fully digital instrument panel using OLED technology and a 14.9-inch passenger-side display (optional) are also available.
The result is the largest display area in Porsche history.
For the first time, the Cayenne is also available with a head-up display equipped with AR technology, which visually projects an 87-inch display area 10 meters in front of the vehicle.
All displays are seamlessly integrated into the interior architecture
On the other hand, the buttons and controls for frequently used functions such as the air conditioning and audio volume are analog.

Furthermore, a newly developed hand rest allows the driver to operate digital and analogue elements ergonomically, even in particularly dynamic driving situations.

The new Porsche Digital Interaction is a digital operating philosophy and design language that enhances the Porsche driver experience, aimed at personalisation and quick access to functions.
Use widgets to access your favorite features and use the Themes app to customize the color scheme of all your displays.
Numerous third-party apps can be integrated directly into the vehicle via Porsche App Center
Diverse streaming and gaming features take digital experiences to the next level
With the Porsche Digital Key, your smartphone or smartwatch becomes your vehicle key, digitally sharing it with up to seven users.

Three powertrains for 2030 and beyond

The Cayenne's full electrification complements existing drivetrain options, with internal combustion and hybrid drive systems continuing to be offered side by side around the world into the next decade.
This strategy applies to Porsche's entire model portfolio
In the future, customers in all segments in which Porsche operates will be able to choose between fully electric and internal combustion engine powertrains.
