LA trip and more

Posted: Posted:

Rental car is a Kia minivan

Last time I wrote about my visit to the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles. However, since I have the opportunity, I would like to add a few more notes about my trip to LA, as a record for myself, although it is not really related to Porsche.

The rental car this time was a Kia minivan (7-seater).

At the beginning of the trip, it was just me and my three children, so we rented a car at the airport and I drove for all our subsequent trips, so driving was what I was most worried about on this trip.

Because the car is big!

A two-shot with the Porsche behind me ^^

But surprisingly, I was able to drive without feeling as "impossible!" as I had thought it would be, partly because California is so vast and it was easy to drive.

Children also appear to be able to fit comfortably in separate seats in the back seat.I ignored the comment, "This is so much better than the back seat of a regular 911!" and continued driving.

Disneyland & California Adventure in Anaheim

Since this was a family trip, we focused on enjoying places like Disneyland so that the kids could have fun.

We met up with our close family from America in Anaheim and had a great time going around Disney together.

I hadn't been able to go for a while due to COVID-19, but this attraction in the newly opened Star Wars area was so much fun!!

I rode it many times.

Also, I'm not a fan of free fall rides so I thought I would never ride it, but in America it's based on the world of Guardians of the Galaxy and I heard the way the falls are different, so I decided to give it a try. It was so much fun and the way the American people got so excited was amazing that I ended up riding it several times.

Wow, that was fun. I highly recommend it.

At Disney, everyone is usually wearing some kind of Disney outfit, but I suddenly noticed that one handsome boy was wearing a Porsche T-shirt.

I was so moved that I couldn't help but take a photo (lol). I also brought a Porsche parka to protect myself from the cold in the mornings and evenings, so I almost showed it to him and went on a conversation.

I'd love to talk to you for a bit, handsome boy.

We also went horseback riding with the family. It was fun!

Although the instructor told us, "Don't worry, the horses don't want to fall off either, so they won't fall off," for some reason the horses were passing right on the edge of the cliff, so it was quite a thrilling experience.

We were told the names of our horses before we went horse riding, but most of the horses my family members rode had cute names like Jupiter, but my horse's name was "Sylvester." How cool (lol).

Porsche I met in California

I don't think I've come across many Porsches while driving around town, or even in LA or the surrounding area.

Of course, I still encountered a few, but the encounter rate seemed lower than in Tokyo, Japan.

This Porsche isThis wingAre they using (Forza Performance's DRY CARBON REAR SPOILER for PORSCHE 718 982)?

When I saw it I was like "What is this?"

Also, if you come across one in America, a car like this Bumblebee would be cool.

Since I was there, I decided to go around to a few stores and look for Hot Wheels and other toys.

I was hoping to find a bargain, but unfortunately it's not that easy and I didn't come across anything good.

For now, I've only purchased the Cyberpunk Hot Wheels.

Another interesting thing was that everywhere we went there were sushi Hot Wheels left in abundance.

It's cute, but what is this? (lol)

I encountered a lot of Teslas.

Oh, and one of the things the kids were excited about was, of course, the Tesla Cybertruck driving around everywhere.

"Oh! It's a Cybertruck!" he would shout every time he came across one.

It was quite exciting for me too, as I got to see the Cybertruck in red and blue, which I had never seen before.

I probably encountered more than 10 during my stay.

Besides Disney, there were two other main events on this trip, but I'll leave one aside as it was a personal matter. The other was going to a national park.

I personally love nature that gives you a sense of the Earth, so I want my children to experience that same natural environment, so I often take them to national parks.

It's fun to just drive on empty roads.

I was a little worried that if something happened to my car (such as a breakdown), or even that I might not get a smartphone signal, but I still just love driving through places like this, and this time I had another great experience.

This is me and my son playing with the Earth.

It's an experience that lets you really feel like you are living on Earth and allows you to feel the Earth itself.

I may have written this before, but my favorite place in the world is Monument Valley in Arizona.

Due to schedule conflicts we weren't able to go that far this time, but I would like to go back with my children someday.

Well, this time, something surprised me. Even though there was only one road for many kilometers and nothing else...

I was really surprised that someone had come to such a place in a Tesla.

Even though he lives in the convenient city of Tokyo, he is such a Tesla user that he doesn't have time to worry about where to charge. Amazing.

Speaking of Tesla, here's something interesting.

When I searched for Wi-Fi in a certain place, "ELON MUSK" came up (lol).

My kids and I laughed, saying, "Elon is nearby!" I like people who make little jokes like this.

Of course, while we were in the US, the daily news was full of anti-Tesla stories like "Tesla was burned in a protest against Elon."

The next thing I'd like to say has absolutely nothing to do with cars, but it's about a wine I like called Duckhorn.

I enjoy drinking Duckhorn and Decoy, but I was recently introduced to a wine called "Migration" that I've never heard of before, and it feels like it's somewhere in between the two.

I had heard that it was hard to find in the US, but I happened to stop by a store and they had three bottles, so I bought them all up.

And finally, this.

The friendly family I was with this time gave me a suitcase as a souvenir (it's a bit of a trend among us to fill each other's suitcases with souvenirs and then hand the whole suitcase over to each other to take home (lol)), which surprised me.

Half of the suitcase had been modified to store wine bottles. I was so impressed that I wanted to share it with you.

The other half was filled with my favorite Doritos and my kids' favorite cereals. I was so touched!

Now that I have this suitcase, I'm excited to be able to transport wine safely on my future trips.

During this trip to America, I had a great time with my family and friends, felt the earth,At PEC LA, you can experience Porsche in America.Once again we had a very enjoyable time.

Recently, when I hear about various things happening around me, it often makes me think "You never know when your life will suddenly end", so I want to continue to "enjoy as much as I can while I can" ^^
