Interior of the new Cayenne EV

Posted: Posted:

Equipped with the largest display in Porsche history

The interior of the fully electric Cayenne, which is scheduled to debut at the end of 2025, has been unveiled.

The Cayenne EV combines Porsche's "sports DNA" with "digital innovation" to transform the interior into an experiential space, and at the heart of this is a new flow display, the largest in Porsche's history.

It is said to be elegantly curved, seamlessly integrated and intuitive to use.

New comfort features include electrically adjustable rear seats, heated surfaces and mood modes.

At the same time, the wide range of colors, materials and accents available opens up almost limitless possibilities for personalization.

Increased comfort for drivers and passengers

The interior of the Cayenne EV is significantly larger, and the rear seats are electrically adjustable as standard, allowing for flexible adjustment from comfort position to cargo mode.

It also comes with a new mood mode that allows you to combine lighting, air conditioning, sound and seating functions to create a variety of unique atmospheres.

The sliding panoramic roof with variable light control creates a sense of spaciousness and is said to be the largest glass sunroof ever fitted to a Porsche.

The new EV Cayenne will have the largest display in Porsche's history and the largest glass sunroof in Porsche's history.

The front section of this glass sunroof opens like a classic sliding roof, and the entire surface can be switched from "clear" to "matt" settings via an electrically controlled LCD film.

There are also two translucent modes, "Semi" and "Bold," with opacity levels of 40% and 60%, respectively.

Another highlight is the new surface heating system, which not only warms the seats but also areas with high contact surfaces such as armrests and parts of the door panels.

This allows the warm air to be dispersed more efficiently and evenly than conventional warm air systems, making the entire car interior more comfortable and pleasant.

It also comes with ambient lighting and communication lighting.

The interior of the Cayenne EV allows you to express your individuality

The new Cayenne EV will be available with a choice of 13 interior color combinations, four interior packages, and five accent packages, allowing customers to customize their vehicle to their liking, from understated and elegant to strikingly sporty.

New material options are also available, with the classic leather variations now also available in new colours: magnesium grey, lavender and sage grey.

If you don't want leather, you can also choose Race-Tex with a Pepita print textile.

A variety of new decorative trims and accents are also available, with a wide range of materials and colors to perfectly coordinate with the selected interior color.

In addition to the numerous personalization options offered by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the Sonderwunsch program goes even further, allowing you to realize your personal vision right up to a one-of-a-kind piece.

Of course, it's unclear how much that would cost.

Flow Display

The curved OLED display "Flow Display" blends seamlessly into the center console, enabling a unique operating format.

The fully digital instrument cluster, which uses a 14.25-inch OLED technology – the largest continuous digital surface ever in a Porsche – along with an additional screen, clearly displays the power meter as well as information on navigation, driver assistance systems and infotainment.

The optional 14.9-inch passenger display offers entertainment, app control and video streaming without distraction while on the move.

For the first time, the Cayenne EV also offers an optional head-up display with an effective screen size of 8.7 inches, which projects navigation arrows and lane guides into the driver's field of vision and also provides augmented reality (AR) functionality.

The new Themes app allows users to customize the color scheme of all digital surfaces in their interior, with five predefined color schemes to choose from.

This will apparently completely change the look of flow displays, instrument clusters and other displays.

AI-powered voice assistant

Another highlight of the Cayenne EV is its AI-powered voice assistant, which is said to be able to reliably understand not only complex commands but also natural questions, without the need to repeat the activation word.

Really? (Oh, sorry (lol)).

Voice Pilot allows you to control comfort features such as air conditioning, heated seats, ambient lighting, and mood mode with simple voice commands. It can also recognize addresses, facility information, and traffic information in natural language, and can directly play media content such as streaming services and radio stations upon request.

With the new Porsche Digital Key, you can even use your smartphone or smartwatch as your car key. Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology allows the Cayenne EV to recognize your mobile device and automatically lock or unlock when you approach or move away from the vehicle.

Porsche Digital Keys can be stored securely in the Wallet app and shared with up to seven users.

I'm not sure why this information was released ahead of the planned announcement at the end of the year, but I'd like to see more of these new features when the EV Cayenne is officially announced.

With regards to SUVs such as the Cayenne and Macan, not only has the performance itself improved, but it also seems to be changing so that even if the family riding together, or the people sitting in the passenger seat or back seat, are not interested in traveling by car (on the way), they can spend more comfortable time together in the Porsche.
