Another terrible story.
This is a story about a Porsche 911 that was almost stolen in California, USA. I thought, "If it was almost stolen, then it wasn't stolen in the end, so that's good, right?" But that wasn't the case.
According to reports in the United States, police responded to a report of an attempted vehicle theft in North Hollywood around 6:30 a.m. on July 16, 2026.
However, by the time the police arrived at the scene, the thieves had already towed a Porsche 911 to the back of the black pickup truck they were using.
In other words, it seems they were planning to steal the 911 (the one they were trying to steal) in a towable state before taking it away.
The pickup truck is said to be a Ram TRX, and the Porsche is rumored to be a 992.1 Turbo or Turbo S Cabriolet, and what's more, it's said to be a custom-made version by TechArt.
Police ordered the driver to stop, but the pickup truck sped away.
The perpetrator reportedly drove through the city streets dragging a linked Porsche, and during the chase, the 911 was seen to have suffered significant damage, scraping against the road surface by going over curbs and crashing into things.

It's so sad to see the 911 being tossed around in the back... and then, apparently, the 911 broke free from the pickup truck, continued to slide uncontrollably, and finally came to a stop in front of a car wash. Oh no.
The image of 9/11 at the end of the video is truly tragic and heartbreaking.
Police later caught up with the pickup truck and apprehended the driver.
It's good that he was caught, and most importantly, no one was injured during the escape and pursuit.
But it's just sad to think about the stolen 911 and how the owner must be feeling.
I hope that theft incidents will disappear.
