I went to the Automobile Council 2026: The new 911 Turbo S made its Japanese debut.

AUTOMOBILE COUNCIL 2026

The event will be held at Makuhari Messe from April 10th (Fri) to 12th (Sun), 2026.Automobile Council 2026"I went to.

IThe last time I went was in 2023.It seems that this was indeed the first Automobile Council meeting in three years.

Thanks to a series of fortunate coincidences, I was able to attend from the very first morning of the event. I'm so grateful. Thank you so much!

Just like last time, the first thing that greets you as you enter and go down the escalator is the Porsche booth.

The Taycan Turbo GT is right in the foreground.

...This car was used at the PEC Tokyo event held on October 4, 2025.Morning Mission Reunion 2025Isn't that the car with the word "Dream" painted on the front hood during the live performance at "[event name]"?

Moreover, this Taycan actually has a replaced front hood.He also ran in the recent Tokyo Marathon. That's right.

Actually, the Taycan Turbo GT I spotted during the Tokyo Marathon might have been this one!

Certificate of commendation at the Porsche booth

At the Porsche booth, there was an exhibit that made me momentarily wonder, "Wait, isn't today a car event?"

And here it is. Yes, it's an exhibition of award certificates.

Normally, at events like this, you'd expect to see race winner trophies or cups displayed as awards, but the Porsche booth was displaying certificates of achievement that didn't seem to have much to do with racing.

Let's see... I went closer to take a better look, and wow. It says, "The Emperor of Japan... commends..."

This appears to be the certificate of commendation given to Porsche Japan when they were awarded the Konju Medal, and in the center is a magnificent seal known as the national seal.

this isLEARN with Porshe projectIt appears to be a result of recognition for their achievements through [the project/platform].

The other two certificates arePorsche wins two awards at the 2025-2026 Japan Car of the Year Awards.Things from that time.

Since you're going anyway, if you're planning to go to the Automobile Council 2026, be sure to check out the Porsche booth not only for the cars but also for these certificates and other items!

Introduction to Porsche Experience Center Tokyo

Now, the Porsche booth this time seemed to be promoting the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo, and there was even a simulator set up inside the booth where you could drive on the PEC Tokyo course.

Porsche Lifestyle adds Retro Collection

Also, the "Retro Collection" line of "Porsche Lifestyle (official Porsche merchandise)," which went on sale on April 10, 2026, the very first day of the Automobile Council 2026, was also available for purchase here.

This collection is a lifestyle collection that embodies Porsche's aesthetic, born from the message, "Don't just wear the brand – live the legend!"

Purchases were also possible on-site.

And since the Automobile Council is an event centered around classic cars, Porsche also had a display of classic Porsche engines.

What's more, they also had an orange 1976 G-Model Porsche 911 on display, matching the orange classic Porsche depicted in the retro collection that was just announced that day – a stylish and wonderful detail! ^^ ↓

992.2 New Porsche 911 Turbo S Japan Premiere

Now, I noticed there was another car on display, a new-looking silver model, and that one is...

The new Porsche 911 Turbo S with a price tag of 992.2!

Amazingly, this 992.2 Turbo S is the very first one to arrive in Japan, making this the first public unveiling of the new Turbo S in the country.

According to what the guy at the booth told me, this is the first 911 with the 992.2 "Turbo Night" engine to be imported into Japan.

Hearing that, my appreciation (or lack thereof?) suddenly increased, and I couldn't help but stare at it (lol).

Of course, Turbo Night is also present in the center of the Turbo S wheels.

Incidentally, PCCB is standard equipment.

This new Turbo S had a body color that looked like a bright silver, but it didn't look like GT Silver, so I asked what color it was and was told it was "Vanadium Grey Metallic."

It's true that colors look quite different under bright lighting.

Anyway, this car was really cool, with plenty of carbon fiber used even in the smallest details.

Oh yes, I had absolutely no idea that this event was the Japanese premiere of the 992.2 Turbo S, but I later noticed that it clearly said "911 Turbo S Japan Premiere" ^^↓

So, as a record of my visit to the Automobile Council 2026, I started by introducing the Porsche Japan booth.

For other areas, to be continued (probably)...!
