Yet again, the new 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has won a prestigious award.
The 911 Carrera GTS also won Newsweek magazine's "World's Greatest Auto Disruptor" award.

Timo Resch, CEO of Porsche North America, said:
"The idea of a high-performance hybrid Porsche has been around for more than a decade. As with many other technologies, Porsche has developed its expertise in the competitive arena of motorsport. The 911 GT3 R Hybrid combines internal combustion engine and electric performance."

"Currently, several Cayenne and Panamera variants are available with plug-in hybrid powertrains, further enhancing performance. The most logical next step for the 911 was to apply the learnings from previous projects to create an extremely sporty, lightweight hybrid system that improves driving performance while minimizing weight."

"This is a truly disruptive idea in the sports car segment, so winning this award is very meaningful."

The new 911 Carrera GTSIt also won the World Performance Car Award. So, as I wrote in that article, I think it must be very significant for Porsche that the newly hybridized 911 Carrera GTS has received such recognition and awards.
