There is an event that I am very much looking forward to in the year because I love Porsche 911. That is "Porsche The Rally" that started in 2018.

Well, so since the first rally event of this Porsche 911 started in 2018, I will participate in the second rally event of 2019 the following year, and also the after event to be held after each rally I also participated in the reunion.

Due to the reunion being held in 2020 and the situation in Corona, this rally event was carried over to 2021 this year.
2021 Porsche The Rally ~ Feeling our connection ~
The third rally to be held in 2021 was originally planned to be held in May 2021, but it was also postponed because the situation in Corona did not improve.
At the time the postponement was announced, it was thought that "vaccination will progress and the situation in Corona will improve", and by chance 2021 was on Saturday, September 11th. It was postponed until September 11, 2021 because "This is the only day to hold the Porsche 911 rally!"
The title of this third Porsche the Rally is "Feeling our connection".
To this, "(this rally) always keeps in mind the social distance and thoroughly implements infection prevention measures, so that the entrant, 911, and the staff can feel the connection and bond." The feeling was put.
However, very unfortunately, the third The Rally, which was scheduled to be held on September 11th, was postponed once, and safety was the first priority due to the situation of Corona, which is still deteriorating every day. As a result, it was decided that the event would be postponed.
This time it is not postponed. Therefore, I don't know what will happen next time. That is the kind of "send off".
I am very much looking forward to this Porsche rally, I can reunite with other entrants, I can reunite with the EBI staff who I can not usually meet, and I can enjoy at Porsche 911 ... I am looking forward to everything. From the day I heard the decision to hold the event three times, I was looking forward to the arrival of September 11th.
But.
Even for me, I think EBI's decision to "send off" this time is correct. I think it's a decision.
To me, who has participated since the first time, I can understand how difficult it is to prepare for this rally event.
It's not something that can be easily stopped by "stopping the event", and if the thoughts of the prepared management staff are not that simple, it will be painful for the company to become strict. I understand.
Even so, I think it's really really wise to make the decision to forgo the event with safety first, without forcing it, and because of the EBI and staff who can do that, EBI's customers I think we can trust you and we can deal with you with peace of mind.
I also realized again that these people are the best and I love them. By the way, I confess again ^^

Thanks to the rally, I was already connected
This time, "The Rally -Feeling our connection-" was actually postponed, but there is something we would like the management staff to know.
What that is, yes, it is the third Porsche rally that has become a phantom at this time, but this rally has already connected the hearts of the entrants.
I felt "Our Connection" right before the event.
Because the rally will be held! At that point, among the entrants who can be contacted, the contact "I heard you're going to do the rally!" And "Would you like to go?" Immediately after that, there were messages such as "How was it?", "It was no good", "I won!", "Mr. xx is OK!"
Furthermore, when it was decided to participate in the rally, I expected that the corona situation would be better at the time of the rally, so I would like to say "Let's have dinner the night before" and "Bring alcohol" with those who can participate. Then, let's do the eve of the festival (laughs) "and so on.
People who did not exchange contact information remembered many people, saying, "I wonder if he will come again this time, I wonder if he will meet, I'm sure there will be a red 996 person." ..
And even when the announcement of this event was sent off, it was "I'm gone", and those who missed the lottery or who were interested but did not apply this time also said "I'm gone." I was able to contact you and report on the latest situation again.
From the time of application to the present, we have had many conversations about the rally with the management staff.
When the staff saw "I went to Karuizawa with Taycan" on Instagram etc., I quietly said "Oh, this is a preview of the rally. That means Taycan may also run on the day!" I also enjoyed it (Oh, I'm just a nerd around here (laughs)).
In that way, this third rally has already made connections with many entrants and staff, even if it has not been held since the first rally was decided.
Even though we haven't been able to run the Porsche 911 yet, I think we participated in the rally this year as well. I was already quite entertained so much that I thought ^ ^
In other words ... I would like to say that although it is a sad fact that the rally was not held, there is probably no entrant who is resenting "what is it!".
And, on the contrary, despite the fact that I have a lot to lose now, I decided to forgo the event, so one day in the future, when the situation in the world improves, I will be proudly and happily with everyone in Porsche 911. I enjoyed waiting for the day when I could ride and enjoy the rally event.
It's hard to think of the feelings of the management staff who have spent a lot of time and effort preparing for the rally.
Wishing for my participation in the Porsche Rally
Finally, I would like to introduce what I did to win the popular rally event, "You have to win by lottery to participate".
It's not a bribe to the staff (laughs), but a strategy that pushes it purely with my feelings (not a strategy ^^).
Until the last time, applications for rally participation were on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, from before the participation application start time, I always waited in front of the computer in a state where the application was ready, and applied at the same time as the participation application time.
Until now, that's how I got the right to participate.
However, in this third rally, there was a change from "participation application first-come-first-served basis" to "participants will be decided by a strict lottery at a later date from those who applied during the participation application period".
The application will start on June 1, 2021. After that, there was a period of time before the application deadline.
If you know me normally, you might think that you will apply at the same time as the application starts, but I didn't do it this time.
I've been waiting for days since the application started.
During that time, I was also worried that I would not apply for the rally, and it was confirmed by people at the Porsche Center that I would not apply ^^
But I was waiting. A specific day to apply for a rally. The day when I can make a wish to win my rally.
Yes, that was June 8, 2021.
It is the so-called Porsche's birthday, the day Porsche's 356 was registered in 1948. If this day was within the application period, I would definitely have decided to apply for the rally on this day.
The day of June 8th. I will prepare to apply for the rally from my desktop PC whose wallpaper is the photo at the start of the first rally.
Moreover, it wasn't just the date of June 8th that I was waiting for.
In order to apply for this memorable "9:11" on June 8th, I was enthusiastic and waited from the morning, even worrying about the time, I (laughs).

After confirming that it was 9:11, I applied for the rally at "June 8, 2021 9:11" when I thought there would be no more Porsche date and time.

This is the email from the administration office after application. Hey, it's 9:11 time! I'm happy ^^
It was worth the effort (grudge?), And I managed to win the lottery, and I just had to wait for the 9/11 date ... Now.
Again, even though I was so excited and looking forward to it, I think that this time's postponement is only a correct decision.
The representative of EBI contacted the entrants by e-mail to postpone the event. While reading the contents, I was worried that the representative might be in tears while writing this.
If it is true, the rally was held, and on the second day of the rally, all the entrants safely reached the goal, and I wanted them to weep at the greeting at the final graduation ceremony. Such tears in advance are very painful.
However, I'm sure that this decision will make me even more impressed next time (← What's the last hurdle I'm raising (laughs)?).
Next time ... Is it 2022? When will it be? do not understand.
However, when the next rally is held, the situation in the world will surely be getting better, and while waiting patiently for that time, I would like to first be careful that each person can be careful in their daily lives. increase.
