Limited edition sneakers as a tribute to the 911 Turbo
The year 2024 marks 50 years since the first Porsche 911 Turbo was released, and Porsche is celebrating the occasion in a variety of ways.
One of these announcements is a new collaboration between Puma and Porsche, this time to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo.
There will be 12 types of sneakers, each limited to 911 pieces.
This Puma x Porsche collaboration sneaker series has two types
The two sneakers celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo announced in collaboration with Puma are as follows:
- Turbo No.1A design based on the legendary Porsche given to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday
- Turbo 930The design pays homage to Ferry Porsche's 1976 Turbo.
Turbo No.1 sneakers
The Turbo No.1, inspired by Louise Piech's Porsche, is metallic silver.
The inside of these sneakers features a red and blue tartan check pattern, which symbolizes the interior of the original 911 Turbo.
The highest quality full grain leather is used.
Turbo 930 sneakers
Inspired by Ferry Porsche's 1976 911 Turbo, this Turbo 930 is finished in Oak Green Metallic.
The inner lining of the shoe is a green tartan pattern designed by Ferry Porcher.
The shoes are made from nubuck leather, which guarantees the ultimate comfort.
Vintage turbo lettering and a subtle PORSCHE logo are common to all sneakers, while the heel section features the distinctive whale tail of the rear spoiler and a horizontal red taillight motif.
The heel features a 3D printed Porsche crest in the same color.
The front of the shoelaces features a removable plate with the words 50th anniversary printed on it, and all models feature the silhouette of Puma's latest motorsport-inspired Road Rider sneakers.
Special editions will also be available in select markets around the world.
In addition to the two types mentioned above, 10 more special editions will also be sold in limited markets around the world.
Each edition is likely inspired by a specific Porsche 911 Turbo in each market, and will be sold exclusively in each market, with 911 pieces of each.
The limited markets are as follows, including Japan:
- Germany
- France
- Poland
- Netherlands
- England
- Japan
- Singapore
- Taiwan
- America
- Canada
Each market is designed with one color chosen from the original Porsche color chart of 30 colors available between 1975 and 1977.

Release date for Puma x Porsche sneakers celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo
The 50th Anniversary Porsche 911 Turbo limited edition sneaker editions, "Turbo No. 1" and "Turbo 930", will be available from 9:11am CEST on August 29, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 169 euros each.
In Japan time, this will be 16:11 on August 29, 2024.

If you choose Japan as your shipping destination online, you will be redirected to the official Porsche Lifestyle online shop in Japan, so maybe the Japan limited edition will be released on the official Japanese website on the same day?
There was no special mention of it being a global market limited edition, so it may be released at the same time, or it may be available at Porsche dealerships at a later date (although the exact details are unknown at this point).
Oh, yes, these sneakers will come with additional black shoelaces, and what's more, the sneakers will be packaged in a Porsche Puma sports bag with a zipper and adjustable shoulder strap, which might be a nice touch too.
