Porsche announces the facelifted Panamera on August 26, 2020.
Even in Japan, pre-orders began on August 27, 2020 ^^
Face lift (improved type) four years after the announcement of the current second generation Panamera in 2016.
The improved new Panamera is said to be extremely fast, so the so-called "Panamera Turbo" has disappeared, and instead it boasts a very fast "Panamera Turbo S" boasting 630 horsepower (463 kW) and maximum torque 820 Nm. In addition, "Panamera 4S E-Hybrid" has been newly added to the lineup.
There are other Panamera lineups such as Panamera GTS, but here I would like to focus on Panamera Turbo S and Panamera 4S E-Hybrid.
Panamera Turbo S
An 8-speed dual-clutch four-wheel drive sedan, the Panamera Turbo S delivers terrifying acceleration in Sport Plus mode from 0-100km to just 3.1 seconds (0-60 miles is 2.9 seconds). already!
The maximum speed is 315 km / h.
80 horsepower higher and torque 50 Nm higher than the previous Panamera turbo. The 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine has been thoroughly reviewed.
Also, to maximize cornering performance
- 3-chamber air suspension
- Porsche Active Suspension Management System (PASM)
- Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport), a roll suppression system including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus)
However, it is said that it is customized to be optimal for each model.
And this very new Panamera Turbo S is a model that recorded a lap time of 7 minutes 29 seconds 81 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (20.832 km) the other day.
This record is officially a new record in the executive car class.

Panamera 4S E-Hybrid
The newly introduced Panamera 4S E-Hybrid has a maximum system output of 560 horsepower (412 kW). This is achieved by combining the following two:
- 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with a maximum output of 440 horsepower (324 kW)
- 136 horsepower (100kW) electric motor built into the PDK of the 8-speed dual clutch transmission
Combined with the standard sports chrono package, the 0-100km acceleration is 3.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 298 km / h.
The total battery capacity has also been expanded to 17.9kWh (14.1kWh for the conventional hybrid model).
The energy efficiency has also been improved, and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid has a maximum cruising range of 54km (WLTP EAER City) / 64km (NEDC) using only electricity.
New Panamera model design
The "Sports Design Front End", which was an option until now, will be standard equipment.
In addition, Panamera Turbo S features a large side air intake on the front and an element of the same color as the body color, and it is said that the vehicle itself looks wide because it is connected horizontally.
The lights are also distinctive, the front lights are placed much further apart than before, and the rear lights are seamlessly placed on the trunk with light strips connected to flow through the newly developed left and right LED tail light clusters. ..
Three new 20 or 21 inch wheels have been added to the wheels, and a total of 10 designs have been prepared.
