Sonderwunsch by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur
What is a Porsche Sonderwunsch?
First of all, some of you may be wondering what a Sonderwunsch by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is, so let’s start by explaining what a Sonderwunsch is.
These days, Porsches built using Sonderwunsch are becoming commonplace.
This Sonderwunsch is a modern-day revival of the "Sonderwunsch programme" that existed in the late 1970s, a program in which Porsche would accept special requests from customers, and it's like "Porsche will build a one-off car."
This is a program where customers and Porsche (Exclusive Manufaktur) work together to create a unique one-off car that meets the customer's needs. The collaboration may also involve technical experts from Porsche Classic.
It was in 2021 that Porsche announced that they would be focusing on Sonderwunsch! Since then, the cars that have been in production little by little are probably starting to appear in the world.

The Sonderwunsch Porsche unveiled by Porsche this time was the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The owner is Guglielmo Miani, the head of LARUSMIANI.
What is Chroma Flare?
The most distinctive feature of this car is the special effects paint on the body called "Chromaflair".
The ChromaFlare paint has a total of five layers of paint, with a very thin pigment in the top coat that allows the color to appear in various shades depending on the viewing angle and light.
It may be difficult to tell from a photograph of this car, but I think the colours appear different depending on the angle and the light.
The color itself is "Urban Bamboo."
In addition to Urban Bamboo, Porsche currently offers:
- Python Green
- Magic Magenta
- Shifting Carbon
- Explosive Gold
They offer ChromaFlare paint in five different colors:

Furthermore, I thought this car just had a shadow following the body lines, but when I looked more closely I saw that it had a three-colour design stripe, and there was indeed a line running from the front wing to the rear.
The three colors used in this striped line are:
- Rock Green Metallic (699)
- Jet Green Metallic (Z6H)
- Anthracite Brown Metallic (M8S)
During the design stage, the designers at Style Porsche used tape to attach it to the shape of the 911.
There are also three colored stripes in the center of the door panels.
The front seat center panels also contrast with the black leather seats and are finished in Slate Grey, Agave Green, and Island Green color blocks.
The stitching is cross-stitched, the color is Island Green, and the luggage compartment is all leather.
The Turbo S will apparently have a list of around 50 items on its equipment list, and each item will have a special Sonderwunsch marking, which will also include the year that each project was completed.
A circular marking inspired by the World Champion decals of the 1970s will also be added to the driver's side rear window.
In this Turbo S model, the same mark is embossed above the storage compartment in the center console.
Porsche has more than doubled its customization options since 2012, with more than 1,000 add-ons now available across all model lines.
I think Porsche will continue to promote the "unique 911" that each customer desires. I'm happy because I'll be able to meet various wonderful Porsches.
Even so, I would like to see a Chroma Flare painted Porsche with my own eyes someday ^^
