The latest Porsche 911 rebuilt by Singer

Singer has unveiled a newly rebuilt Porsche 911 DLS Turbo. This model is named "Sorcerer," which means "magician."

I think it's amazing how people who have cars named always have such great taste in naming their cars to suit their needs. If it were me, I probably wouldn't have come up with something like Sorcerer, no matter how hard I thought about it.

The "DLS" in DLS Turbo stands for "Dynamics & Lightweighting Study," and DLS is the name of a program to comprehensively redesign the engine, chassis, aerodynamics, and weight reduction in cooperation with Williams Advanced Engineering.

The DLS Turbo increases the power of the DLS's 3.6-liter horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine to 3.8 liters and is equipped with twin variable geometry turbos.

This gives the car a maximum output of over 700 horsepower, and the engine is capable of spinning up to 9,000 rpm.

As with the Porsches Singer has rebuilt so far, the base Porsche this time is a 964 generation car, and the chassis was first repaired and reinforced before race car-inspired bodywork was installed.

As you can see, various new parts have been added, including a huge rear wing and rear fenders, and the panels are made of carbon fiber, which not only reduces weight but also contributes to improving the rigidity of the body.

This Sorcerer is designed for the track rather than the street, with front and rear designs that are very aggressive and reminiscent of the 1970s.
