What's amazing is that no one was killed in this accident.
I didn't know this, but apparently there is an event in Idaho, USA called the "Sun Valley Tour de Force," which is now in its 7th year. In addition to activities such as scenic drives and car shows, the main attraction of this event is being able to drive on a closed 3.2-mile (about 5 km) stretch of Idaho State Highway 75 with "no speed limit."
This main event is said to attract the fastest cars, with the Bugatti Chiron holding the fastest overall record at 253 miles per hour (407 kilometers per hour).
Wait, what? 407km/h?!
The event was held again this year, but this time a Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet participated in the event and overturned at a speed of over 200 mph (over 322 kph).
In addition to the driver, the turbo cabriolet, believed to be a 997 model, had a passenger in the front seat, and both of them appear to have been wearing helmets.
According to people who knew the driver, the driver was a skilled and experienced driver, and some media outlets have suggested that the cause of the accident may have been a flat tire.
In any case, it was a terrible accident that occurred at an incredible speed, and the terribleness of the accident can be seen from the completely changed state of the 9/11 after the accident. However, what I found amazing was that both the driver of the car and the passenger in the front seat were safe.
