Weissach package 992.1 type Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Well now, the lap time of the new 992.1 type Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the Nürburgring (20.8km) has finally been announced.
Its lap time is 6:49.328, which is 10.6 seconds faster than the 992.1 type GT3.
The new GT3 RS didn't have a top speed compared to its predecessor, so if you just look at that number, you might think that it's slow. *The maximum speed is 296 km/h for the 992.1 type and 312 km/h for the 991.2 type.
However, the GT3 RS this time is a model that Porsche is said to have "focused on aerodynamics" with much greater confidence, and the time to run not only on straight lines but also on circuits with various corners will be amazing. It was thought that it was not.
And exactly that result.
As expected, the downforce value is twice that of the predecessor (991.2 type) GT3 RS, and three times that of GT3. Its maximum downforce value is 860kg in total at 285km/h.
The driver who provided the lap times this time was Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister.
He was also involved in the development of this model.

This is the fourth fastest record at the Nürburgring (as of October 15, 2022).

The Porsche 911 GT3RS that ran was equipped with the Weissach package, and the tires used were Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2R. The size is 20-inch 275/35 at the front and 21-inch 335/30 at the rear.
According to Mr. Jorg, who ran, this 911 GT3 RS is outstanding, especially in the high-speed section, and normally this level of car is prepared for racing cars.
