Porsche takes first place in loyalty survey in premium car category
According to the results of the JD Power 2024 US Automotive Brand Loyalty Study released by American research company JD Power on September 25, 2024, Porsche ranked first in the premium category.
This marks the third consecutive year that Porsche has taken first place in this category, which I think is a fantastic result.
The survey analyzed whether car owners purchased more of the same brand after trading in their existing vehicle, thus measuring customer loyalty.
Timo Resch, CEO of Porsche North America, has said that "customer loyalty is at the core of the Porsche brand," and I think that's absolutely true.
This is the sixth year for the J.D. Power loyalty survey, which covers five segments: luxury cars and SUVs, mass-produced cars, mass-produced SUVs, and trucks. The 2024 survey is based on data from September 2023 to August 2024, and includes all model years traded in.
The top-ranked Porsche in this survey had a loyalty rate of 57.51 TP1T. Second place was Mercedes-Benz (49.01 TP1T).
In fact, when I think about it in terms of myself, after I bought my first Porsche, I kept wanting Porsches and have continued to buy Porsches ever since. So it makes sense that about 60% of people who trade in their Porsche end up buying another Porsche.
Once you know it, it's hard to forget its charm. Porsche is a sinful car.
