It seems that a rare Porsche has been discovered in the United States.
That's the Porsche Boxster GT3 RS! Wow. I've never seen anything like it before!
Well, this is actually a normal Boxster, but it has been modified in various ways, so at first glance you might wonder "What model is this?"
Some people add various parts and decals to their cars after purchasing them, and as everyone enjoys expressing their own individuality, various modifications have been made to this car.
The owner of this Boxster had the side decals changed to "GT3 RS" for some reason, the taillights were replaced with those from a 991-generation 911, and it also had a rear wing added, among other things...
As long as car customization is not illegal or causes inconvenience to other people, it is a matter of personal preference, so I don't mind what you do and I have no intention of rejecting it at all. However, the only thing I do wonder about is putting a badge that is different from the actual car model.
In a way, calling a Boxster a GT3 RS seems a bit unfair...
That said (although I won't change the decals or logos), I sometimes think about deliberately changing the license plate of a 997 to "996," so that people who know Porsches when they come across it will be confused for a moment and ask, "Huh? Isn't that a 997? But the license plate is 996, so that means it's a 996? Huh?" (laughs).
I hope you won't be confused (laughs).
