From the title, it's hard to understand what I'm talking about.
When I first saw the article from overseas, I also wondered, "What are you talking about?"
But when I saw this spy shot of the next-generation Audi TT, which is said to be undergoing testing... What? It made me think, "What? What does that mean?" (laughs).
This is what I bought. ↓

Of course, we still don't know for sure, but the car that appears to be a 718 Boxster in this spy shot is actually an Audi, and proof of this is the letters "IN" on the license plate.
The "IN" apparently refers to the place name Ingolstadt in Germany, where Audi is headquartered.

The license plate also has the letter "S," which indicates that it is a "new/newly registered" vehicle.
So it seems the conversation turned to "this car is being tested by Audi, not Porsche," but then what exactly is this 718 Boxster prototype doing? The answer seems to be "the new TT will be based on the 718."

Of course, Audi has not commented on the matter, but Audi CEO Gernot Döllner recently said, "Audi should have a sports car because it is part of the brand's DNA."
However, he also said that it may be some time before this becomes a reality because "we need to find the right way and timing to integrate it into our portfolio."

Considering that development has just begun, it may be about two years before a production model appears, so maybe around 2027 we'll see a new Audi TT that looks just like the 718 Boxster (even inside?!) but at a slightly cheaper price?
Well, it's still just a rumor.
