The new Porsche 911 (992.2), announced on May 28, 2024, was on display at the Porsche Center Takanawa, where I usually go, so I went to see it right away!
This is that car.
The body color is Shade Green Metallic, which is also the first time I've seen a real car in this color.
It's like this...I wonder if the photo conveys it?
However, I don't think there is much difference between the actual appearance and this photo (the color seen indoors).
Anyway, I took some photos, so I'd like to post them here ^^
The headlights on this car are standard spec.
There is an even rounder line on the inside of the round headlights, emphasizing the roundness and giving the impression of being even cuter.
If you want to give your new Porsche 911 a cool yet cute look, these headlights might be a good choice.
Rear.
This car comes with an option to have the rear slats colored the same as the exterior, so the slats are also shaded green.
The wheels are Carrera Exclusive Design Wheels (carbon blade).
20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear.
I'd like to see the interior as well...
The first thing I wanted to see was the button-type ignition adopted in the 992.2 model.
Haha. So that's what it's like. I want to press it.
By the way, I don't have much resistance to the ignition being a button, so I think that's a good thing.
As long as the engine starts, there's no problem (is that really a problem (lol)?).
Also, what caught my attention was that when you open the center part, there is a smartphone holder inside that will charge your smartphone just by placing it there.
Straps to fold down the driver's seat/passenger seat
There is still plenty of space behind the rear seats.
Recently, this is something I always check.Pen holder in the glove boxCheck it out too (lol).
There it was!
Also, next to the glove box there was a "passenger airbag ON/OFF" button, but was there ever such a thing? I wonder if it was still there. I'll check it out next time.
This sports chronograph comes with a Porsche Design sub-second clock.
Since the 992.2 Carrera did not have a manual setting, this car was also equipped with a PDK. It is 8-speed.
This was my first time seeing the 992.2 base model Carrera, but my impression wasn't really, "Wow, it's changed a lot!"
Of course, I wasn't allowed to start the engine, so I didn't see the full digital display on the screen, so if I had seen that, I might have had a different impression.
The 992.2 Porsche 911 has already begun delivery in Japan. Next, I would like to meet the 992.2GTS, the first hybrid model of the 911.
I think the impression of this one will be quite different, but what do you think? I'm looking forward to meeting it someday.
